Well this movie comes under the category "must see movies"..Never seen any movie being so close to the book..Its a movie about four kids who set off to see a Dead body..Perfectly directed and casted, this movie really can take you back to your childhood days when everything was fun...I saw this a few years back and I think I have never seen anything with the quality of this recently.. Lemme tell you more about the characters...The main characters are Gordie Lachance , and his three friends Chris Chambers, Teddy Duchamp , and Vern Tessio , all 13-12 years old. Chris is from a family of criminals and alcoholics and, despite his intelligence and desire to break the generational curse, he is usually taken likewise. Teddy is an eccentric and physically deformed after his mentally-unstable father held his ear to a stove and nearly burned it off, thus forcing him to wear a hearing aid. Vern, overweight and timid, is easily scared, and thus often picked on. Gordie is a quiet, bookish boy with a penchant for telling stories, rejected by his father following the death of his football-star older brother . The story is narrated by the adult Gordie

That one is now an oldie, but a goodie (1986). It was filmed here where I live. One thing that is kind of interesting is that this was a short story written by Stephen King, and the scene with the leeches really happened to him when he was a kid.

You know I really wish they would make movies like this one today. It is such a classic and will never grow old for me.
