teething  | |  I think my daughter is teething and it's driving me crazy!!!
For the past month or so she would only get up at most once in the night (I know I'm lucky). But now she's up multiple times and it takes at least 20 minutes to get her back to sleep.
During the day I can keep her distracted enough that she doesn't seem to mind, or if she gets fussy enough I've adopted my mom's old remedy of rubbing her gums with cloves (which can't be done too often without causing a stomach ache), but these just aren't the optimal choices for the middle of the night.
How can I remedy her pain and frustration? Or is this just a rite of passage for parenthood that I need to live through?

Other than that we make sure we keep some teething rings frozen for her. We also use a feeder. I'm not sure the exact name of it. We got it at wal mart so it's a popular thing. It's like a pacifier only instead of a nipple it has a mesh netting. You can freeze some apple slices and stick them in the mesh. It will only let the juice and mush come out through the mesh so there's no chocking hazards. This gives them fresh fruit and the chewing on something frozen makes their gums feel better.

| enlincia (17) | 11 months ago | I've seen those feeders before, but they seemed like the sort of thing I'd want to wash in a dish washer (which I don't have) to keep sanitary. How well do they wash? Or do you think I'd be better off tying stuff off in a handkerchief?

| | 2.  kezabelle (2671) | 11 months ago |  I used teething powders on my girls amazing things available from a chemist/pharmacy. Calpol infact parecetemol if they were really really unhappy and something nice and hard and cold to chew on.
We all parents and babies have to go through it but neither has to suffer good luck xx
