Important things to remember on Mylot.

I am fairly a new mylotter and I was wondering what are some of the important things to remember on mylot. I still don't understand the starred numbers on people's comments. Do they just represent how many times they were best responders? What are some things you've experienced here on mylot that you think everyone should remember?

The stars are where you are as far as the + and - ratings people give your answers. I think some of good things to remember are that discussions may be there for infinity, some people will not rate you best response even if you continue to have the only one, you may get a - rating just because someone disagreed with you, keep things relevant, do not make discussions to promote your own website, ref. links are not permitted, and keep it clean.
