Many people think about safety. Is the house safe enough to live in. The second factor is location. Is the house in a prestigious location. Some people do not want to be looked down because they live in the poor environment (where many poor people live). Distance is also considered in buying a house. Is it far away from where you work? Is it far from the children's school? What about you?

Hello yanzalong! I guess the first thing to be considered when buying a house is like what you said "safety first" Second is the prize
Third for me is whether there is ok water supply or something. Fourth is the location of the house. Is it near to the market?work place?school?church?

Your first consideration has to be the area...is it safe, especially if you're planning to raise children in that home. Your next consideration should be price and available financing. You never want an adjustable rate mortgage...that's why people are losing their homes today. Next you want to look at the school system in the county and, of course, distance from work and anything else that is important to you. You won't be able to have everything but the first two should not be compromised. Your home doesn't have to be in a five star neighborhood but it does have to be in a secure, safe one. You also have to be able to afford it.

as you mentioned the location is very important for buying a house. There should be shops around which you can use for shopping, may be just a grocery corner store would do. I Think neighbor also plays a role in buying a house. You should not have rude neighbors because with the house you should also be able to make some friends around. Otherwise loneliness would be a major problem for you. It seems to be an unimportant factore. But it is not. hope this will help you out.

These are basically the same things that I look for when purchasing a house.
It has to be in good condition
It has to be close to my job
It has to be close to a major shopping area
It has to be in a nice area

You have to think many times before buying an house.Ya as you already said location of the house is very very important, because as the the time goes you can alter other things such as look of the house, rooms etc,but you cant dig your house's foundation and shift it to another location. The next thing is drainage facility, air circulation, water, etc.
