My wife is feeling pain from hip through lower limb after dishwash, making her almost tired to do anything after that. I too tried it and found the reason for the pain.
Our sink is about 3.5 feet high and she is washing the dishes standing. That causes the pain. I too felt it when I washed the dishes.
The problem is, this is how almost all houses are designed. So, how do you people manage?
How do you overcome this issue?

I have that problem too. My sink is only 3 feet high. I also have a very shallow sink so I can only fit a few dishes in at once. So I fill the sink and when I finish that load I fill it again, then I do a few stretches and walk around my house once. I do that after every sink full. There are times when that doesn't work, so I have a stool that I sit on at times. The problem with the stool is that I end up with more upper body pain because I leave over so much. I really think stretching and walking are what work best for me.

Thank you for sharing.
I was wondering whether it was only my wife and nobody else don't have such complaints. Nobody in my area have spoken a single word about it while they have some gossip.
I'd try your ideas. Hope it works on my wife too. Thanks.

I've never had that problem except when I wasn't well to begin with. Is the sink too high or too low? If it's too high, stand on something to raise yourself. If it's too low, wash dishes in a large pan or bowl on the table or another area that suits you better.
Another thing is to wash dishes often as you cook so you only have the serving dishes to wash which cuts down on the time spent washing dishes all at one time.
Also, if your floor is hard to stand on, get a good rug or rubber mat. Sometimes something that simple can make all the difference in the world.
