The roomie got a new toy  

Oh so this is what you were talking about ;-) Well, my dumb computer will give me trouble with something...so I call in a computer pro...like my brother, or even a regular professional computer guy...and when I try to show them what's wrong, my computer acts perfectly normal...ha ha...so I look like I'm making the whole thing up. And then you're stuck saying things like, "wait, it's not doing it now...but it was about 10 minutes ago, I swear"...and the whole time they're looking at you like...what's this girl talking about. My computer is GREAT at making me look like a fool

Gosh! you must have had a lot of problems, good thing you know something about computers, as for me I have trouble trying to fix my webcam and I don't know much about the workings of the computer and thank goodness my hubby know a lot about them.

I would be so totally, completely, and utterly lost.

I would for sure have to have the geek squad come in. I'm not a computer person at all. I'm lucky I'm here, haha. Good for you though knowing as much as you do. I'm just not computer savvy in the least. I don't even know what half my computer does now.

Wish I would have had it in school but that was way back when, haha. I do find them fascinating though. And I did get rid of my own virus, does that count?, haha. I googled my little heart out on that one.

Sounds like a great computer though and I'm happy you're up and running. I'll call you when I get a new one so you can help me, lol!

That sounds about like my luck. I have been having computer problems again. I would like to get it fixed but I think I would be better off to go and buy a new computer. I do not want Windows Vista though so I don't know what to do. I love the Windows XP.

Totally. There is a reason I hate change. Change means trouble. Change means learning new things, like how many things can go wrong at once. Change means the old stuff, that always worked just fine before, now goes wrong and you can't do what you used to do all the time. I HATE CHANGE.

Ah, yes, such is life. Never as simple as we hoped it would be. At least you have a nice new machine!

I was really happy when I got my laptop but needed a wireless adapter and router. Because they were different brands it was a mess to get working!.I had to phone both companies and put in codes for each but they were supposed to be compatible in the first place. What a pain! I'm glad now that it works but wished it could've been easier to begin with!
