If you had the the money, would you buy or build a house? If it were up to me I think that I would build one so it would have exactly what I want. What would you do?

I would love to have a house built for me, that would be so awesome. I would be content with just having the money to fix up the house that I have now. I need work done on my kitchen, I need an updated heating system and I would love a downstairs bathroom.

Are there any agencies that could help you with that? That sucks that you have to stay in a motel, at least your not homeless. Take care, good luck and God Bless.

Yes,I am glad that we have a place to sleep but most of our stuff is in storage again. Most of my adult life I have had to put most of my stuff in storage.A friend of mine said that some of the county housing list's opened up.I applied with them and have heard nothing from them. But,I was told that I have to make about 10 thousand dollars more then what I get from social security because that is what you are required to make if I am not getting disability.I am getting survivors benefits.I cannot get disability because we qualify for the survivors benefits.Plus,I have to come up with about $2,000 for deposit's.And I have to be paying a credit repair company to repair my credit because it is not perfect.Because I am not on disability I go to the bottom of the list.

Neither. I would buy and apartment or condo. The apartments seem safer. The condos that are like apartments do, too. Or I would buy a place in a gated community.

I guess it depends on the gated community.

I still want to buy a house. I know it's a good ambition to build a dream house. However, the most difficult part is the worker can do a good job. It's quite troublesome if they make something wrong. I understand that the most frustrating thing is the decoration. You have to complain some many things because you are not pleased with their work. I don't want to be troublesome, so I would just like to buy a house. I love China

But,sometimes if a homebuilder has the house built, they do it in a rush and it is not done right. There has been deck's fall, whole house's collapse or blow up because the gas line's were not put in carefully. In the hotel we are temporarilly staying at now. There is a couple that has been here since September because the new condo they are supposed to be moving into does not even pass inspection after several tries. My husband was a plumber and he said that there were several times that the job would not pass inspection because of not just a plumbing error, but because maybe an error with the drywall or something.

I would love to have an older house that had been refurbished.. I love the craftsman style homes and if I could afford the upkeep on the exact one that I wanted, I would buy.. I love the big rooms, the high ceilings, the big windows and the woodwork in the older homes.. I have visited the Ronald McDonald house in Knoxville and it is beautiful, I would love to have that one for myself, it is perfect..

Like you, I would want to build my own house so that I can have my own design. Yes, It is nice to have a house built the way we want it to be. But there are some people who want to have ready made house but they are having a hard time looking for one that suits their need. It is hard to look for a house that look exactly want you want. That is why if I have money? I will build one not just buying ready made house.

I would consider both, but I would probably build. That way I could make everything accesible for my son that is confined to a wheelchair.

See I would want to have a house built.I am not in a wheelchair now,but you never know what's gonna' happen.I was in a medical condition in 1985 that put me in a wheelchair for about a month.I have problems with my right foot where I cannot walk for a period of time and need to use the chair at the store or shopping mall.Sometimes I have family and friends that come over in whealchairs or attempt to.I do not have wheelchair capabilities here.

I think I would just want to buy one because we have no idea how to build one or what we want really. I would like to go look at new ones that were already built so we would not have to wait for one to be.

Hello dfollin! Well, I don't know. Whatever what my husband wants. If he wants us to build our house fine for me but if he wants to buy a house so that there would be no hassle then, much better.

I have found that sometimes you cannot always have what you want in a house already built and it is still a hassle.

I would definitely want to build one. I would want my dream house done EXACTLY how we want it. The perfect house where everything is designed by us.

I have designed a house as well, but everytime I pick out some land that I would like to build it on it sell's for them to build a housing development, stores or office building. Most of the office building just sit here empty and is used as a tax write off.

Nothing worthwhile, and will depend on your demand. Do you have to, you can self-help housing, then sell your house than the cost of the corresponding naturally low, which may be much lower, but you have to pay a lot of energy, the cost of this on your time and energy costs, may be far larger was sold a house to pay for. So there is no comparability between the two. As regards the time, building plans, no time to have that next year, year after year, I feel similar. But the purchase, then depends on what you place. The more popular a place enough, housing prices rose faster, particularly in coastal cities, has lagged behind the core of the region's major cities, due to development, these areas will continue to have capital inflow, so this should weigh in your own.

Building from scratch is so much more difficult...if you have the time to go searching for architects and engineers and the knowledge at how everything works then you get the advantage of getting exactly what you want but this way is definitely more expensive.

i wan to build my house because if we but then we can not design it ourselves. But if we build then we can design it as we want according to our requirement.

For sure I prefer to build one, which is exactly whatever I like. It is more comfortalble to live in the house built by yourself. Happy mylotting!
