Swimming games

As a kid growing up we had a creek behind our home where we swam. Yes, i'm from the country! All of my cousins & i would go swimming everyday during the summer. that was our evening thing. We had a lot of fun doing that. we all learned to swim in that creek. The older ones would teach the younger ones to swim. We'd swim til we were all wrinkly lol. we'd play diving games, see who could hold their breathe the longest & dive for change lol.
So do you like to swim?

Yeah, we used to swim growing up too, we lived out in the country also, but we had to go to town to the park and swim in the creek, my cousins would all come over during the summer, we had a houseful of people, my grandpa would take us to the creek and leave us, then he'd come back way later. We had fun, there was a diving rock, and everybody would take turns jumping off of it, it wasn't that high or deep there, and we'd swim till we were all wrinkly too, and hungry..lol. Nowadays tho, I don't swim much, for some reason I'm afraid of the water, I won't get in too deep, if I can't touch the bottom its too deep for me, and I have to get back where its more shallow, I don't know what happened, I was in the water all the time when I was a kid..lol.

i see. yeah, i wish there were more places for kids to swim now days. like there were when we were kids. there is a pool here in the town where we live now but, idk, he doens't like swimming w/a buncha ppl he doesn't know. This summer he's supposed to take swim lessons there tho. 1 of his aunts gave him a 4 ft pool 4 this comin up summer so the lessons will be useful. he's always loved water tho since he was tiny.

I lived in a small little town that had a creek on two sides and a river on another. We used to swim in one of the creeks closer to our home. We swam in the river when I was really small and Daddy would take us. The last time I swam in the creek, we saw snakes coming down it and I came out, never to go in again. But I love to swim and we used to go to Florida to the ocean lots, but haven't been there in years.
