argh....I can't sleep :( I have a clas this morning at 9am and have to wake up at 7 but now it's 2:30am and I am still awake....I am soo tired but won't fall asleep. does anyone has some tips to feel sleepy? Someone told me go stand in the cold for 5-10 min...it doesn't work.

Try just laying down for a bit. Even if you don't fall asleep, try to just relax & rest.

if you have something on your mind, write it down so you'll remember it in the morning. sometimes we cant sleep because we're thinking about all these things and dont wanna forget it. not sure if it'll help you, but it does help me. good luck. set your alarm clock in case you do fall asleep!

hmm sounds good. Actually, i am not anymore tired....and I am thinking to not go to class tomorrow morning...I'll fall asleep in class and I can't drink coffee lol. I'll meet with the teacher later on if I don't understand the material. thx alot :P this tip is kinda useful though

HI ladysakurax!

Here are sleeping aids I know:

1. Drink a warm glass of milk.
2. Take a warm shower. This will relax your nerves.
3. Put the lights in your room dim. This will decrease the visual stimuli which will then drowse you off to sleep.
4. Play a relaxing music. Your favorite mellow song maybe.
5. Lay in a comfortable position. Use pillows the way you want it.
6. Relax your mind. Don't try to think whatever it is that is bothering you.
7. Close your eyes and Fall to sleep.

Hope you can find the best ways with my advices. I'm a nursing graduate. These are the things I tell my patients before. lol

interesting! I like number 6. I think I was thinking too much about a movie trailer I was watching before sleeping. I'll try to focus on the pitch black or emptiness. My friend chatting over just told me read a boring book and i though about my financial testbook for class...but to much torture to read it. I'll go try rom numebr 4 and tell you tomorrow if it will work lol. thx :D *i finally see some hope*

I have had that happen and a warm bath, warm milk, and some turkey (not kidding, ever eat a turkey dinner and feel sleepy after?). Tryptophan (spelling?) makes you sleepy. Reading will do it too or I will put in a really boring TV show and soon I am asleep.

sorry for the late reply...thx for the tips. We are not very familiar with turkey but i do notice that after eating a meal, I always feel sleepy. but I got a new trick. My bf suggested me to do some exercising before sleeping to waste all energy I have, it works really good.
