I bet there is not a single person here that likes waiting for results
from the doctors that is. But I suposed it could be any results really like sport or school.
Anyway I saw my doctor few days ago and she found out some proteins and glucose in my urine (I am 28 weeks pregnant) so lucky me I am going to have lots of lovely tests done in the morning the main been for gestational diabetist and I swear with this child I eat so healthy (well not that I can eat much).
So now I have to wait for the results which is killing me. And mind you it is so hot outside and I am not good with blood and needles and all thet so I will probably faint and plus they give you that thing to drink which everyone tells me its discusting.
How do you cope with medical tests? waiting for results? When was the last time you had to have blood test?

I had this test as well its no fun. The drink is not to bad but you have to drink it all and fast so it seems worse than it is. Plus it is boring as you cant leave and it takes four hours. And four needles so not fun. Thanlfully mine came back clean and i hope yours will too.

Oh my God it was the worse thing to drink ever I had to drink it over a period of 5 min but I did it faster and it was soooooo sweet I think I wont be eating anything sweet for at least a week. I only had to wait 1 hour and only 1 needle hope this is the end of it as I would hate to do it again. I feel so sick now and tired and have the worse hearache ever. And plus we have record hot temp at the moment.

hello, I don't have problem with needles. I am a future doctor myself lolz I can inject myself no fear :) don't be afraid... but i know everyone has their pain tolerance. and depends on the persons skills that give the injection. I do blood test pretty frequent cause i travel from time to time. i do HIV test twice a year. my veins are small or i say deep some inexperience persons could not find it. someotimes i have to be needled a few times only they could get my blood. but i am not afraid of that but a little pissed off sometimes. :)

Hi Violeta!
I actually don't have problems with blood tests...I just look somewhere in the room and think of something else! The last time I had to have blood work was a couple years ago and then before when I was pregnant with my son so I guess six years ago..This is major blood work I'm talking about here not just that associated with regular physicals!
The part I hated when I was pregnant was all of the urine samples..Annoying as I would hold it to be sure I had enough and could hardly do so and then what was worse was the ultrasounds where you had to hold it and they made you drink all that water before hand!
Sorry you have to go through this extra round of blood work...My prayers will be with you this morning!
Love and Hugs

I didn't know they could do internal ultra sounds without the bladder being full...Never heard of one to be honest! I was always told to drink and hold...It is horrible to have to do!
I am so glad that is was less blood this time and I pray it all comes back as nothing!
HUGS

They do it but only in eatly pregnancy and not for everything and I belive that mainly its used for non pregnancy related things. Its not bad but its something incasive and I prefer the normal ultrasound

Last time they filled 7 little containers with blood something like 200gr I think this time she did 2 lucky. I have to lie down and I shake so much when they do it. When I had an ultrasound (I had some pain when I was 9 weeks) they told me it was internal scan so I could go pee and I did as often as I could, then I walked in and she said do you have full blader I was going to kill the receptionist. So I had to have internal.
