Do you have a favorite primetime cartoon series? |
|
What do you like? The Simpsons, Family Guy, King of the Hill, Futurama, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Daria...there have been quite a few. While no one, I think, can outlast The Simpsons (which is my personal favorite)there seems to still be a place in our primetime lineup for these slightly offbeat cartoons. Do you have a favorite? Which one and why?

The rest of those primetime cartoon series I dont like that much and I am usually watching other channels when they are on. They are all probably OK but I just havent had a chance to watch them that much.

uicbear (1537) | 11 months ago | I don't know how the writers keep coming up with new ideas for The Simpsons. It's amazing. Although i have caught a few episodes of the other shows, The Simpsons is the only one that really kept me as a fan.

2. kel1483 (524) | 11 months ago | The Simpsons is my favorite. Probably because it's been on the longest, so I've watched it the most. I think they do a good job of keeping the show current and fresh. I liked Futurama a bit when it was on, and I do watch Family Guy and King of the Hill. I also lik South Park, but I don't have cable television now, so I don't really get to watch it much.

uicbear (1537) | 11 months ago | I forgot about South park, which has been running almost as long as The Simpsons, if I'm not mistaken. I myself never got into South Park, but several members of my family are big fans. My nephew is a big Futurama fan, has most of the seasons on DVD.

uicbear (1537) | 11 months ago | Yea, I remember hearing that the creators almost quit doing the series because the network was refusing to run an episode that was making fun of Tom Cruise that he was raising a fuss about. Needless to say the network felt the threat of losing the show was greater and went ahead and ran the show. I don't think anything else happened on Cruise's end, do you know?

thelastwolf113 (3054) | 11 months ago | I remember that. Yes, they did run the show but Issac Hayes quit after playing Chef for years. He had no problem making fun of other religions but when it came to Scientology, I guess that was a no-no. No big loss.

4. highflyingxangel (8915) | 11 months ago | I really like Family Guy, The Simpsons and King of the Hill. I'm pretty sad that King of the Hill is canceled and that the final episodes are probably being aired at this time. It's just depressing to me. I guess I've grown up with it and am depressed that a show that I've enjoyed for so many years is being canceled. However, at least I do have reruns and there are plenty of other good shows on TV that I can watch.

uicbear (1537) | 11 months ago | I feel that way about The Simpsons. When it finally goes off the air it will be like a part of my life is over. Of course the fact that it airs in reruns about 5 times a day will be a small comfort, lol.

5. Jlyn22 (196) | 11 months ago | When Daria was on the air I loved that show and everyone said I looked and acted just like her. Now a days I watch the Simpsons, Family Guy, and Southpark. Id have to say Southpark and the Simpsons are tied in first place for me though.

6. Tantrums (946) | 2 months ago | From the cartoons that are still on TV until today, I most enjoy watching Simpons, with a close second as Futurama.
The late nineties were killers with cartoons such as Cow And Chicken, Dexter's Laboratory, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Ed, Edd and Eddy, Powerpuff Girls. I even watched Cramp Twins every now and then.
The best were on Cartoon Network, although I didn't write about the classic ones, with Tom & Jerry, The Flinstones, Scooby Doo, Dexter's Laboratory, Johnny Bravo The Jetsons, Animaniacs etc... (the list can go on!)
On FoxKids*Jetix* I've seen every episode of Kids From The Room 402, What's With Andy?, Life With Louie and Bobby's World. There are many more that I've seen throughout my life, the list goes on and on.
I am a fanatic when it comes to cartoons, being 24 is not an excuse, and I keep track of them all.
