Silver Wedding - how was yours?

I was prompted to start this one by something on another site.... If you've reached this milestone (mill-stone ??) how did you celebrate? My mum made us a cake and took us out to lunch. My husband finished eating before us so went outside and sat on the wall until we left. My father-in-law sent us a gift of money to get 'something nice'... which we used to get the dog 'chipped and snipped'. I so wanted to write to him saying,"Thank you for the money. We got ourselves something that was the dogs bo**ocks!!!"
