What's the best beach entertainment?

I'm going away in a few months and renting a house with a bunch of good friends. We are trying to brainstorm things to bring/do while we're there, since where we're going doesn't have much of a town or nightlife nearby. So far we're definitely planning on having some bonfires and playing some beach volleyball and football, but we need more ideas! What would you suggest for a week at the beach?

having a bar-b-que is always fun too. you'll definitely want some music and bring a lot of towels/blankets so that you can lay on it rather than the sand. bring some drinks too (soda/water/etc) cause you will all be thirsty. you might also want to bring some pails in case some of you might want to build stuff lol. have a great time
