| I work all different shifts so I have a real sleep problem. I have become somewhat nocturnal and could not fall asleep for anything. I didn't want to get dependent on sleep aids, so I talked to my doctor about my options. He told me to try Melatonin, a natural sleep aid. I take two before bed, and I fall asleep easy in 20 minutes or less. I feel relaxed and get a deep, good night sleep. Anyone else use Melatonin? Its great, and non habit forming. | | My co-worker uses Melatonin and she says that it does help her go to sleep because we work nights. Personally, I don't use any pill or need any to induce myself to sleep. I guess it's because my body can adapt easily. But for the habit forming thing, sometimes it's psychological where even if the person does not really need to drink the medicine, they feel that they have to. | | Hi Lisa0351 An easy way to fall asleep without any expenditure or side effects of any drugs is acupressure.I will suggest four points in the body where if it is massaged with the thumb applying a little pressure you can fall asleep sooon 1)Massage the spot on the inside of the wrist crease ,in line with the little finger. 2)Pressure to be applied just behind the nail of the second toe on the side opposit to the big toe. 3)Just above where the big toe and the second toe seperate on the upper surface of the foot. 4)Pressure can also be applied on the middle of the wrist.
