I wouldn't do this, I'm too impatient! Would you?

Watching the new show of the well known chef in france that is looking for a couple to go into business with and open a new restuarant. He started out with nothing and he has helped others that want a restuarant but they had to go through his several rounds of test to see if they would be good parterners in business for him.
I have seen some of the shows where people had to wait an hour or over two hours before getting their meals.
Would you wait this long to eat? Especially knowing this business is being worked with by people with very little experience. Even though it's being back by a famous chef.
I don't think I would. I see can waiting when a place is exceptionally good and the famous chef is there preparing the food. I would wait up to an hour. Longer than that is way too much.
My question is would you wait or go somewhere else? Many times these people are going for dinner, that puts them out past 9pm wanting dinner.

I would not wait that long to be served dinner. I generally prefer to cook at home anyway but when I go out to expreience fine dining, I expect to be pampered. I have no problem with the entire dinner process, including the conversation and drinks to take about 2 hours but I would never wait that long for the food to arrive.
Inexpreience is one thing but being unable to perform within reason is another.

No, I would not wait this long. I can't stand waiting 30 minutes. When I am hungry I am just plain out hungry. LOL! I don't like to sit feeling like I am starving.

I do know what you mean and being there constantly smelling the foods that are prepared does not help any but to make us more hungry, lol. I'm not that patient. I will leave for another place or home and fix something.

Hey moondancer I posted the previous message by mistake. sorry about that. I read some of mylot discussions when I am at work and then I try to post them when I am online from home. I don't have an open internet connection at work. So I respond to the discussions when I am offline. It happened to me that you have to wait in a restaurant for over an hour espeically on a busy weekend. However if the food is good I would not complain. I would make sure that next time I will chose a more suitable time not to wait that longer or else find a more efficient restaurant.

That's okay ronald it doesn't matter to me where you post from. I do understand when they have many people to feed and the people just pour in because it's a really good place to eat. I do think however that these places on their busiest days when people are out the door lined up or it's standing room only while waiting that the restuarant take reservations on these days so as to get everyone fed and not that much waiting.

HI mommyboo, some of us are chatterboxes and manage to make friends
with anybody while others are a bit more introvert and do keep a step
behind before making friends. A few of us are reclusive and prefer to
be on their own. I think that there are few people of this type
however I don't exclude that such people exist. They may lack social
skills how to make friends for example

Hi,,Like you I am too impatient..I would not wait that long to get something to eat. For one thing ,if I had to wait that long then I would no longer be hungry. That is way too long to wait,no matter who the chef is.

Hi. I would go someplace else.I am lucky the best cook i know is my wife. We are just common people so i don't know it i would like all that famous chef food any way.We do like to go out a lot but, most of the time the mom and pop places are the best.

Yes, I do agree the family restuarants are the best. It's homemade cooking from whatever country they are from. Nothing is poured from a can or bottle. They make everything from scratch like I would do at home, these are the best meals.
We have our favorite places that we go to. Thank you for the compliment honey.
