The best songs to get high too?   

Tom Petty has some great songs, and a lot of blech songs. Pink Floyd is my choice when I want to escape. I've been high before, long ago, but have found life itself the best high. PF has songs for every mood, they were really spacey when they began with Syd Barrett and when he went insane from drugs, David Gilmour filled in with such ingenious and creative guitar work that he'll be famous for centuries to come. He can say more in one note than than 99% of guitarists can say in 4 bars.

So, to get back to the subject, I don't get high these days. Not because I'm 54, but because I've found that an artificial or even organic high is unnatural and doesn't feel nearly as good as living life in real time.

I don't know I'm not really into the more easy going stuff anymore as much as I am into the music that really has a lot of feeling in it. Some of my favorites to listen to while getting high are Deftones, Tool, and many others. I would also check out ohGr, Nine Inch Nails, Team Sleep, and A Perfect Circle.

it depends what mood your in... like, sondre lerche, jason mraz and jack johnson are really good if you jus wanna chill. but when i wanna get stupid i'll listen to somethin like lil wayne

It's been a long time since i've been 'high' lol i don't agree with smoking pot/grass now, but to each his own. Back in the day we were into Stevie Wonder and quite a few of his albums had loads of slow and dreamy tracks, then suddenly one would be followed by a very loud one! which would frighten the living daylights out os us lol. Jimmy Hendrix, the Beatles, Earth Wind and Fire were all on my record player (no playlist function back then lol) Shame youtube isn't allowing music vids at the mo.

I like your choice tails88. I just watched that film. really amazing! I smoked pot after while watching. And after the movie, you know what I did? I wrote the lyrics of the "across the universe" song and also the blackbird, hey jude, lucy in the sky with diamond. Haha! High moments dude.

I guess I am showing my age here but I get high on the 80s music. I love the 80s, most if not all of my cd collection is from the 80s, my Ipod for the gym contains only 80s music, although I do have most of Madonna's stuff on it. I am crazy about her, more of her latest hits. She is fantastic and one of my all time favourite singers. I don't care what people think about her she is one of the most talented singers that has ever lived. Her music is so versatile too to suit all my moods, when I feel high or when I feel blue.
