I think the question should read "what is going to happen after World War III" because it is a war that shall surely come, just as night follows day. There are people who don't believe in religion and all...but at this point it doesn't really matter what one believes. We area at a turning point in history and those of us who read the Bible know that there is a final war, the war to end all wars - ARMAGEDDON. One thing is for certain, there shall be classroom safe enough no people to teach the history. The war is also going to be about religion, as much as there are millions of people who do not subscribe to any religion. The tension is already in the air, the principles are arming themselves and guess what - not with conventional weapons but nukes.
Someone in this discussion said he knows its going to be a conventional war. Wrong. There will be nothing conventional about it. And this is why its called Armageddon. We have never seen anything like it and we shall never after its over and done with. there shall be no such thingas self-preservation in this war since the initiative will not be with people who are rational like western leaders but instead with a group bent on changing the world as we know it. They will succeed of course - but their success shall be in destroying it, that's the kind of change they shall bring about.
For starters let it be known that irrespective of what the world does, Iran shall acquire a nuclear weapon. Let it be known too that the extremists and terrorists who want to destroy America and and its western allies are not getting weaker but stronger. Unfortunately for us and our leaders, we are deluding ourselves by thinking our fight against terrorism is done and we are winning; listen to plans of cutting defence budgets, army spending and intelligence funds and you will know what am talking about. The terrorists are slowly building their forts and arming even as we talk of peace and disarmament. We are unwittingly giving them an upper hand and when they do strike the kind of weapons they use shall force our hands in response. They shall attack with nuclear and biological weapons (weapons of mass destruction) and we shall have no option but to respond in kind.
There's optimism about the new American administration and hope for a more peaceful world...this is actually going to be the worst times in the history of this world - remember it's always darkest before it's dawn and a false sense of peace shall mean most armies that could be relied on shall be caught off guard. Am i an alarmist? Hardly. Just history. And predictions from the Holy Bible, the answer to all our questions.

First you have to define the scope of the war. If it went nuclear it wouldn't be pretty, there might be no school left, to have a history class in. How many bombs were used and where did they go off. Where ever it was the areas would be radioactive for years and years and years. Look at Japan after the USA bombed them. The whole globe would be awash in nuclear radiation. It definitely would be a whole new ballgame in uncharted waters! Have fun here and good luck! tdemex

That is an interesting question. I think if we did have another world war it would end with someone using a nuclear warhead, and it would change the world as we know it. With so many unstable countries with nuclear weapons I feel that one of them would use the opportunity to destroy their enemies once and for all.

I think it would remain conventional warfare. I'm a realist in terms of international politics and believe the mutual fear of self-anhiliation would prevent nuclear war from breaking out.
That being said, I think Nationalism still exists to a great extent, although there are certainly indicators that it is weakening from its past prestige. Nonetheless, I believe there are definitely people that would fight for their respective countries.
It already started and it's the just waiting to start on the soil of the starter of all the trouble of the world. the devils soil. here it comes. enjoy the hell u created!!!!! have an unsafe and dangerous trip.
