Aggrevation | | | | I know this is a long shot, but here is what I would like to ask: "For either a father or a mother who work hard all day long, spend hours of the day in traffic going from assignment to assignment, getting home and having to do so much that even the slightest facial movement or the continuous dropping of a baby's pacifier can be too much aggravation." This is not to say that the babies in the household are not loved, because they are, but need some help in how to deal with this. I hope this makes sense. Thanks so much. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | Relaxation, each day, is imperative.....even if its in short spurts...Buy some CD's/tapes to listen to while your driving between appointments and on the way home. There are a multitude of them.....Most places have a set up so you can preview them before you purchase. Try Yoga for Dummies and do it each evening right before you go to bed or better yet first thing in the AM. It takes ten minutes and is worth getting up for. And remember....That load of dishes can be washed tomorrow, as can that load of laundry. No one has ever died from dust on the furniture or lint on the carpet. Simplify, simplify, simplify....I know its easier said than done, especially with small children, but just remove one stressor at a time and you will be pleasantly suprised at the huge difference it will make. AND anyone over the age of 3, in the home, should be assisting you in some way. Breath, my friend, breath..... | | | | | | | davebrown64 (368)

| | Yoga is a great answer. I know that it also lowers the blood pressure, too. What I do want everyone to know is this: I forgot to explain that this was a conversation between my best friend who I truly do believe is a great father. He is 13 years my junior, he has the children and instead of having to go see a psychiatrist or something, I told him that I would ask my fellow Mylotters. I told him that starting discussions and answering questions here is probably a fun way to relieve some of the stress as well. Your answer is great. At the same time, since he works in the home security business, his work truck does not have a cd player. So, he probably has to listen to Neil Boortz in the morning and this ups his stress. LOL. Anyway, thanks for your great response and I am going to share them with my friend. I am hoping that my wife and I have children one day. | | | | | | | Disposable Bottle Liners Playtex® Drop-Ins® Liners -Make Feeding Easy/Reduce Colic Symptoms. | | It sounds like you're totally stressed out! Do you have a CD player in your car? Keep CD's close at hand that are relaxing to you. When I have to drive in the city I have my favorite CD's or a favorite station in the city where I drive that totally relaxes me and removes the stress. Cleaning and house hold chores will always be there. With small children you should NEVER expect the house to be immaculate. If you're too tired, do the bare minimum that it takes to keep yourself and the children taken care of. Sit down with the kids; sing to them, read a story to them, watch cartoons with them and relax! Sort out the priorities and you'll find that the house is way down on the list. Allow yourself a short nap when you get home. Eat a balanced diet and add vitamins to your intake. Allow yourself "me" time, whether it is five minutes to read an article or getting a babysitter and taking yourselves out to dinner (even if it's just McDonalds). The main thing is that you destress over the things that aren't going to stop the world if they don't get done. Dishes, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, the lawn etc are still going to be there five or ten minutes later or even the next day. Your children are going to grow up fast and do you want them to remember a dad or mom that is stressed out and frantic? I learned a long time ago that the house will never be immaculate, there will always be dishes, but there has to be time for de-stressing and stopping to smell the roses. It will make a big difference in your life. | | | | | | | davebrown64 (368)

| | Thanks for your response. This is fantastic. Read my response earlier and you will understand why I have started this discussion. I am going to get my friend on Mylot as soon as he is able to get back on the computer so that he can start some discussions as well as respond to those already started. Thanks again and great response. I wish I can give the two of you both best responses. | | | | Loverbear (2355)

| | I just read the previous response that you posted. I used to have to carry a boom box with me to play my CDs. It helped a lot, and they are extremely inexpensive in comparison to what they cost today. It might really help! Plus, if nothing else he might record the cd's on a cassette tape and use it in a tape player. You have hit the same problem I have on responses. I really wish that there was a way to award two or more best responses. | | | | | | | Babies' Style Starts Day1 Top NameBrand infant clothing for 2012.Find latest trends for your baby www.bachelorbabies.com | add comment | | | |
