Do you share your name with someone famous?

I have a friend who works as a technical support agent in a call center here in the Philippines. Their clients are mostly in the United States. Sometimes a client would ask my friend's name so he'd say "Tom Cruz, sir", there'd be a long pause at the end of the line and then the client would usually ask "...the Tom Cruise?!...for real?".

No, I don't share my name with someone famous but I heard other story about Brad Pitt. In one of European countries where "the" Brad Pitt was visiting, some restaurant guy knew there are few Brad Pitt men in the world and freaked out when the real Brad Pitt rung and ordered a table. He said few times that he won't reserve the table because this restaurant is only for special guests and I don't believe you are a real Brad Pitt. In the end it turned out to be the real one. I don't know the restaurant guy's destiny after it.

Not that I know of in the conventional sense paula, but more importantly, I wonder how many famous people share the same name as ME! There's nothing better than some self motivation every now and then is there! lol.

A countless number of people share the same name with me! That makes me famous, isn't it?

I shared my name with a famous Australian footballer many years ago, and as it's not a very common name, I was always asked if I were him. I also worked with an Erol Flynn, he got ribbed a lot.

I don’t’ think I share my name with any famous personalities. But I love my name and I am thankful to my parents who put the name for me. Some celebrities in south India holding my name but I don’t think they are famous like the way you meant. Now I remember an incident which happens with a lady who holds my name, she objected to marry a person on the day of wedding because the guy demands more money as dowry. The incident got attention from media and many guys come forward to marry the brave girl.

I do share my first name with the most famous person in India. He is a great cricket player and is very humble person. He has been like Indian god for over 18 years now and is in twilight of his carrier but never has he ever spoken to anyone harshly or has even one scandal in his life. he is happily married and never we heard anything bad about him. He never goes overboard in criticizing others nor he tends to defends himself from false accusations and lets his game do all the talking.

i am supposed to be unique.butmy maiden surname was philipose and during my viva exam,i would be asked about mark philiposis and the discussion would go on to sports.(it was of no use studying my own subject.
