and you left them, would you move across the street from where you were living, and where you spouse/partner stills lives?
Crazy question, but my god children's mother is doing it. She is moving out, leaving her husband, but she took an apartment directly across the street from where they lived together.
I would never do that, if I couldn't wait to find someplace else, I would just stay with my spouse until I did. I am sure he will be watching the comings and goings on the other side of the street.
Would you move across the street from your spouse?

I know the feeling, sort of. My ex lives around the way from me we see each other every once in a while and it's awkward. I couldn't even imagine her being right across the street though. That's extreme I think.

It is extreme, I would have waited until I found something farther away. Actually she moved out once before to another town. When she got sick and couldn't work, she lost her apartment and her husband let her come back.

I guess it would really depend on the situation. If I wanted to be out of our house NOW and that was the only apartment I could find I guess it would be ok as a temporary solution. I wouldn't be signing a 1 year lease or anything like that but for a few months I guess it would be doable. I wouldn't be too interested in dating for some time if my partner and I split so I wouldn't worry about him watching my goings on. Still it would be a little too close for comfort, so unless it was an extremely temporary situation I would not think it a very good idea.

I do not think it is temporary, she has two young children and a granddaughter. She said her son will be living in both locations.
