Order Pizza - 21 days in advance...

I just noticed a tv commerical for a pizza place and in the onscreen writting it says "order online 21 days in advance". I just gotta ask... why would you want to order pizza 21 days in advance? I guess if you are having a large party or something, but still - I'd rather talk to a human being and make sure the details were right instead of relying on the computer/internet to do it right....but other than partys.. is there any reason for them to offer that?

Wouldn't the anticipation be just great? 21 days...20 days...19 days...oh wow I can almost taste it!
That would be useful for parties/events as you mentioned, but you can order pizza online now from Pizza Hut and Dominoes and have it delivered just as fast as if you had ordered over the phone. You can even tip the driver ahead of time! I, personally, like it better than phone ordering, but then again I just really prefer shopping online.

I know - 30 minutes or less....why wait 21 days!!!
I am not an online shopper much..just don't like my banking/CC info out there all over in cyber space... and especially not over a pizza! I think sometimes online is getting out of hand. Pick up the phone, make the call, pay when it gets there!
Either way..enjoy your pizza!

Besides getting this many pizzas for a party, this method would be useful for things going on at a university. Depending on how many pizzas they're going to need, they're going to need to order a day or more in advance. Some businesses don't like it if people order the day off. It doesn't give them time to prepare, and to also have that many items on hand.

I would try this just to see if it works, and then mark it on the calendar to expect pizza in 21 days at a certain time. LOL I think you're right, that people who would need this service would need it because they are going to have a party, or something.

That's gotta be the only reason.. even if I did mark it on the calendar, I'd have to put the money aside so I know I'd have it for then and then hope I am "in the mood" for it on that day.. just to much work! Call it in at 4 and it will be there at 5! No work, no hassel, just pizza when you want it!

Sometimes I have trouble deciding what I want on my pizza that I'm going to get in a half hour. You mean I'd have to decide right now what I was going to want on my pizza in three weeks?
I don't think so. Even for big parties I would think that most pizza places would be able to accomodate orders with 24-48 hours....
21 days? That has got to be a joke.

I'm with you on that.. but that is what the commerical said - 21 day advance order option! Can't see that anyone needs 21 days notice! heck they only require 30 to vacant a house!
