Watching the stories on TV of the Victorian fires, I would like to say what heroes there are out there, true heroes, real meaning of the word... The stories that are coming out of that place are amazing, my heart is breaking for those who lost their lives, like a father found still holding his kids in his arms, my tears just won't stop, hearing the stories and watching the reunions between families, and to see the the people out there still fighting the fires, even one with a broken leg, to see the poor frightened little faces of the kids who have just gone through something that will take a long time to get over, please let us pray that is all stops soon....

Yes they are truely doing an amazing job and yes I think everyone has done the same as you watching the reports on the news and listening to them on the radio, if you have a heart you just cant help but shred tears when you hear their stories and what those poor people went through
last report was there was 173 lifes lost and over 750 homes destroyed and they had raised over $14 million to help which is fantastic!

The genorosity of people is just wonderful... My fathers property was taken by these horrific fires.... People have Lost so much.... I also had property in kinglake which we sold a few years back, lucky for us or otherwise we would have been there and may have got stuck in the middle.. It came so quick for this community.. Some had very little if any warning... People all over are just so lovely and helpful it is truely amazing how much it brings everybody together....

Yes I had friends who lived there and sold up a few years ago, my friend loved it up there and she didn't want to sell up but her husband hated it after awhile so they sold up, my friend passed away a couple of years ago, I spoke to her husband the other night and he is so glad he is not there...its all such a horror...

I too, have been watching the daily reports on TV about the Victorian bush fires, and the stories are horrendous; I can't stop crying thinking what those poor people have had to go through, losing not only their homes, but members of their families too. So many lives have been lost already, but the toll seems to rise every day.
There are many unsung heroes I'm sure - tragedies like this pull people closer together and they just help wherever they can.
Australia is suffering badly at the moment with horrific fires down in Victoria, and terrible floods up in Far North Queensland. It's either a feast or a famine in our country.
I just hope it all ends soon so that those people can start to re-build their lives. I'm sure prayers are being said all over the world for them.

Australia. Remember that you are a strong resourceful people and you will get through this. I am so sorry that it happened to you. Blessings
