Do you have watch Ong Bak 2? What do you think about the fighting movies? We have seen many actors like Jackie Chan, Jet Lee, and many more. They use their gift in martial arts to make a fighting film and use all their experience. But, do you think that the fighting movies doesn't brings any new things to the viewer? For me, I love to watch it because I like to watch their martial arts.

If we are to look from one angle the movies expose martial arts from many parts of the world. Realistically the majority of the fight sequence are designed to be attractive to the audience. They may not even be practical in a real life situation. Bruce Lee even said that he used only 20% of the techniques shown in his films. In many real life situations fights are over in a very short time.
I have watched many martial arts movies. Most of the moves shown were predictable. A true martial artist provides the unpredictable.
all the best,

oh, i do think so. most of the fight in the movies are really hard to works in the real life. i have try some of the tricks with my friends but it need the speed and accuracy to that tricks when fight with some one. but some of tricks can works. and i do think that the unpredictable moves are the best move just like we watch jackie chan movies. he show a lot of moves that we not predict at a first time.

As I said Bruce admitted to only 20% practical techniques.
Since you live not far away from where I am, why don't you come over to see me? If you are lucky I may show you the correct moves for Chicken Kick, Bear Kick, Whale Takedown, Tiger Kick, Eel Punch, Spring Kick, Fan Strike, and a myriad of other techniques which were originally not found in silat except for one. The exposure started in 1976.

Fighting movies are cool.
Especially if it is a karate movie...
Full action movies.
Jet Li, Jacky Chan, Stephen Chow, Antonio Banderas etc. etc.
You can learn moves too so that you can use it defending yourself.
