 Ok So I was told last week that I had Strep throat it was awful and I got super ill from it. Has anyone else experience this and how did it affect you?

Believe it or not I didn't get the sore throat until the very last Next time I will be sure to get check a lot sooner than I did ......WOW Thank you so much for your response

| 3. Jae2619 (1103) | 10 months ago |  I haven't had strep throat in years, thankfully. But can remember how aweful it hurt. I used to get it alot as a child, until we switched doctors and that doctor told my mom to make sure our tooth brushes thrown away, and start out fresh, so make sure you do that so that can help decrease your chances of getting it again later.

| 4. mariedenae (109) | 10 months ago |  When I was younger I used to get Strep Throat twice a year EVERY year. The very last time that I got it, I also contracted Scarlet Fever. My entire body began to burn with fever and within two days I was peeling EVERYWHERE and I do mean everywhere! I remember this because I used to go to the bathroom and pull almost a foot of skin off my arms and legs. It was horrifying! My mother hated having to bathe me in the calamine lotion because I would just shed as she applied it to my skin. I was about 8 then and I thought it ws cool once I didn't feel sick anymore. I was a human snake! lol But it can get worse, so take your meds and try not to give it to anyone else, because it is VERY contagious:)

I think my body just became immune somehow! But thanks for your concern:) All I have to look forward to now is if my own children (3, 2 and 1) ever get it and having to look at them as "human snakes" lol Happy Mylotting! | |

He refused to go to a doctor, though, so he suffered through it:( A doctor later told us that untreated Strep could lead to heart problems, so he's going to doctor next time! Hopefully, there won't be a next time, though. Feel better! | |
