I've been drinking soymilk for several years now, so I've tried quite a few varieties for taste. My favorite is WestSoy unsweetened vanilla. It has only 5 carbs in a cup, and the taste is smooth, and it's white, not brown or mealy. So what's your favorite tasting soymilk?

I really love soya products like chilled taho, tofu chips and most especially soya milk. Chocolate flavored soya milk one of my favorite. Though soya products are cheap, they are rich in protein which good for the health. but remember too much soya can make you feel dizzy.:)

I didn't know that and this is a brand I'm not familiar with. But I like to make my own lowfat soy chocolate milk and hot cocoa, using unsweetened WestSoy, vanilla or plain soymilk. 1 T. cocoa, 3 pkts Stevia, 1 cup plain or vanilla soymilk. If I use plain, I add a quarter teaspoon vanilla. Using a hand held blender, mix the ingredients. If making hot cocoa, use the blender in the pan once hot. Stir to keep cocoa from burning on bottom of pan. Frothy hot chocolate with very few carbs and less than 5 grams of fat. Yum.

We either buy the Wal-Mart generic or Silk. Those are my top two, but seems like most of the store brands try to taste like Silk. There is another brand we had tried, I can't recall the name, not even sure it is on the market still and it was pretty nasty.

I do like the taste of Silk, but there are significant sweeteners in it and being a diabetic, I need to stick to the unsweetened one I use. The chocolate is quite good though.

I wasn't aware that beans cause uric acid build up. I always heard it was caused by animal source foods. Those with kidney issues must reduce protein consumption, and especially animal source protein, due to uric acid. I will have to do some study about soybeans and uric acid.

There are a lot of different good brands. If you're looking to save money, Cub Foods & Wal-Mart both have their own brands of plain & vanilla soy milk, and even more? They taste surprisingly good for being generic brands. Almost identical to vanilla silk. I really like Silk - it has a variety of flavors (plain, vanilla, chocolate) and seasonal flavors which are absolutely DELISH (pumpkin spice, soy nog, chai, cappucino, and so on), although it's kind of expensive. West Soy is good - and I really like their chocolate/cappucino varieties, although they're packed with fake sugar - which I'm a little uncomfortable with. I haven't tried West Soy's plain or vanilla kinds, though. Almond Breeze (chocolate) is a good kind to try - just make sure you get the SWEETENED version (I accidentally got unsweetened before..Yikes.) It has an interesting taste, and isn't made out of the normal soy-beans (is made out of almonds, instead, which is interesting). My only complaint is that it only has a couple grams of protein, which doesn't seem like nearly enough for a pseudo-milk product. The one kind that I didn't like is called RICE DREAM - and yes, I Know this discussion is about SOY milk - but I have to mention this. It's made out of rice, and just tastes WEIRD to me. Like perhaps it shouldn't be made from rice. . So, I guess I'm not too picky when it comes to soy milk - I just don't like Rice Dream.
