So, do you like talking over your mobile or messaging?

Suppose you are given an option that either you can talk unlimited or message unlimited with the same amount of recharge option. What would you go for? Talk or message(sms)? My preference would be talk. I mean I enjoy talking rather than messaging!

Just like you, I would prefer talking over the phone rather than texting. It is less of hassle. You just have to dial once and talk spontaneously. when you are texting, you need to type the words, send it, wait for a reply and then reply by typing again...it takes more time and more effort. I am not against SMS, i do that too. There was a time when I was so much into texting! But just for the sake of of answering your question, then I would say my preference is to talk rather than to text. have a great day!

Yea, now I have realized that what foolish question it was. In fact I wanted to ask something else and this question came from this discussion. Ofcourse messaging is more tedious than talking. Thanks for the response.

oh i dont think the question is foolish at all. it is a valid question coz no matter how tedious texting is, it is quite addicting. I will not be surprise if other people will prefer that over unlimited talk time.

Hello sanuanu! I prefer to have unlimitied call than unlimited text. Texting is a little bit tiring but it's hit here in the Philippines because it's cheaper. In calling all you have to do is dial the number and talk while texting, you still have to type the letters and it took minutes to be able to send the message.

The fun of listening and talking with some one who is near and dear one cannot be substituted by text messaging. Text messaging is no way replace the live talking between two individuals. However, I use text messaging, when I find that it is not practically feasible to talk to other fellow or the other one should not be disturbed in odd hours. For example, for conveying my wishes on a friend's B'Day, I'll send him/her text message in early morning and subsequently, I'll make a call, when I am sure that he/she can take it conveniently.

Most of the time these mobile service providers are not giving free messaging on festive day or on holidays. they will charge extra for that day!

Most of the time on festival seasons people can't make calls due to network traffic jams. Now, in that case one can send a text message and that could be a good solution to it.

Talking is a better option than messaging with me.I dont try to look how much does SMS cost as it eats time & a little bit tiring.Eventhough if you are talking you can still manage to do some other work. But while messaging you have to have a look at your cell phone always & putting some effort to type.

Every person here enjoys talking so the sms factor is going away. So, I will change the stipulation and would tell you that you will get Unlimited Talk by paying 50 bux and Unlimited sms by paying 20 bux. What would you choose?

Hmm, no wonder why mobile service provider keep their unliimted pack so costly that one would not go for that easily. Earlier in my city one of the service provider made their calls free in our state to any mobile company. The result was that no one could get the call connected easily. I had to try several times before I can have a talk.

Mobile brought a new necessity in every life Now most of the people thin it as one of the necessity of their life. With mobile you can either talk or even send sms Sms doesn't be dynamic interaction but talking is So I will prefer talking over sending sms

Really. I remember 16 years ago, I could only afford to watch this gadget in TV only. They were as costly as $1600 and the cost for making a call was upto Rs 16 per minute. Now, the call rates are only 50 paise per minute and the cost for a handset is only $20-$40. This is so cheap that anyone can afford it. We can see even a beggar having it in his pocket! LOL

Hi sanuanu, the charge of talking on the mobile is very much higher than that of messaging in my place. So if I were given such a good opportunity definitely I would like to choose talking unlimited. Talking is the more convenient and straightforward way to express our feeling and get the desirable answer via the cell phone. We need time to key in word by word using the small cell phone key pad is really troublesome and boring as well. After sending the message we still have to wait for the opposite side to send the answer. It's always the best to talk than to send sms on the mobile. Happy posting and have a nice day.

Wait and wait but don't we do message each other at mylot! Ok, no teasing. You know what, the answers I got from mylottians here in this discussion leads to me a conclusion that if I am going to make a company of mobile service provider then I would not give you an option of unlimited talk time but I will use unlimited sms package because I know you will be using less sms's and this will save my money!

Hello sanuanu. Given such a chance, I would also prefer to talk on the phone rather than text messages as it is more direct. In fact, in my daily use of my mobile phone, I have already paid for the service for all incoming calls for free. This way, I certainly prefer to receive calls. But if I have to make a call, I will have to pay during normal working hours. If I make a phone call after nine in the evening and before eight in the morning, the calling fee is as cheap as ten fen, like one jiao in Chinese currency. I mean it is cheap to make a call during this period of time. So most of my long-distance calls are made during this time...Thank you for your discussion, friend. Good day to you.

I had a great day my friend. Thanks for sharing your words with us. It is always the tendency of mobile service providers that they give cheap call rates during night time because people would make less calls in that time period. After all night is meant to sleep, not to talk.

Dear friend, I would opt for talking and text messages I do sometimes. But mostly in my mobile I talk more. Hope it would be a good one to get unlimited talking option.

But if I am a service provider for a mobile phone then after reading the responses here, I would not opt for unlimited talk time because you guys will use it to the maximum or I will make the price high for this option. Thank you.

I prefer to talk normally, since I always find some way to mess up my message. xD Texting can be fun, but it does get tiring on your eyes and hands after a while, while talking only tires you if you run out of things to talk about. I have a friend that loves to talk and another who loves to text. I guess it depends which you're used to?

I would rather talk because I enjoy hearing another person's voice when I am communicating with them. For me, it makes the conversation that much more interesting.

I will choose talk unlimited because I can talk with all of my beloved people and share my day to them. I enjoy messaging with my classmates but not to talk with them. I'm one of introvert actually, so that it's more convenient to sms them. But for my beloved one, I want to hear his voice hehe :D

i prefer text messaging..why? it's because i can save all the messages i want to retain and whenever i forgot something about the conversation, i can always look back on it in my inbox...and because i really can't stand talking on phone for a long period of time because it irritates my ear..^^

He he he! You are only the second one who preferred text messages rather than talk. Hmm, I also have so many messages in my inbox and I will never get run out of them for a particular occassion. So, do you have a bf(you didn't mention you are male/female in your profile but I think you are a female)?

I love to text message. TO me it is better when I am just sitting around and it is a lot quiter. I do talk on the phone but I like to text more nowadays. If I drove and had a car I would talk more but since I am not driving anymore at least for now I like to text as well. I do not do any instant messaging online though. Unless you want to count mylot. ;) Have a good day!

i think this sight uasaally happens in the tv set competition, when competetors are all nervers when the limited time coming, but if it happens in the love story, maybe the message wothout any sound can be afford more effective, just as sometimes we can use body pose instead the language,so we should ercognize the case, then decide ,i think

Alright, that is a nice situation made by you. A message without sound can make things easier for him/her.
