I am only want to use with smaller size in the application, much bigger size can slow your computer process and i don't have space for that application in my hard disk (My hard disk full with the games). Why do you think 2007 much faster, it many proses to protect your system from viruses. But, it still not safe because i got viruses on MS Word 2007 huh. Thanks for your response.

If we see the features available, it is of no doubt, that MS word/MS office 2007 is the best. But MS Office 2007 and its all the tools utilizes the large resources of the computer when compared to the 2000. If we tries to open a Ms word 2007 file, it will take a time almost triple the time required to open a 2000 word file. But the plenty of editing and conversion features are available in 2007 that's for it has been upgraded and its also natural. After using 2007, I again installed the MSoffice 2000 after removing 2007,only because of its delay in loading.

seems then ur computer might be not upgraded. coz i use windows vista and MS 2007 together. After vista using all the resources of my computer, yet my MS office opens pretty fast and instant.
Its true that 2007 is more graphically strong than 2000 but time lag is not the flaw behind it.

That might be not compatible with your operating system kumarpslv, it can be delayed in loading if that is not compatible. It mostly compatible with Windows XP SP2,SP3 and Windows Vista. Can be your hard disk drive space is full, need remove for unused application. MS Word 2007, need graphical for medium effect that can slow your loading. Thanks for your response.

I find Word 2007 quite easy to use. It does display a little different to most previous versions, but it is not difficult to become accustomed to the outlay.
The only problem with Office 2007 is the restrictions placed on Outlook because the security features disable many of the options that I previously used.

Microsoft Word 2007 is much better than 2000. 7 Years of advances is present in that software and it can do a lot more. All Microsoft software will now operate like Word 2007, including the new navigational menu design at the top so it's best to get use to it.
Furthermore, if you want Word 2007 to act more like Word 2000 or any other year, there are options for this in the settings.

Very interesting, we can act MS Word 2007 more like Word 2000. What about the size are 2007 more small, i think MS Word 2007 size more bigger than Word 2000 even it compressed size. May be, security in MS Word 2007 much better than MS Word 2000. Unless, i have all of MS Word then i can thinking what is the better. Thanks for your response.

I have used both 2000 and 07, and i have to say that they are both the same, one just has a prettier interface. It actually took me a while to really get used to the 07 interface because it's box oriented rather than tab. while 2007 has the added file support for the newer formats like docx, it's not really that much different in functionality

That different on the file formats like docx, it compressed file and that cannot be open on older version if you don't save it in older version from 2007. Functionality still same, but i don't like to much box oriented inside 2007. Thanks for your response

The biggest difference between 2007 and 2003&2000 is the creation of the .docx file format. This means if you create a document in 2007 and wisk of to someone if they 2003/2000 they will not be able to read. you need to save the document in 2007 so it can be read by 2003/2000. The user on the other can get a plug in from MS that will convert for them to read as well. The change you will see in word 2007 is the ribbon technology instead of the old menu. But as stated before there is only a few bells and whistles changing from the original product.

Yes, i know that the .docx use in MS Word 2007 and MS Word 2008. That is compressed file, it save all of your data. That make your file size more smaller than normal size. In MS Word 2000 or MS Word 2003, this feature not allowed. If you want to save in 2003/2000 from 2007, we must installing 2000&2003 and we need more free space. Every opening a document, the application need place it to temporary file then read it. If we don't have space so that will cause an error on that application. Thanks for your response.

Yes, are you have MS Word 3.3, MS Word 5, MS Word 5.5, MS Word 6, MS Word 95, MS Word 98, MS Word 2000, MS Word 2003, MS Word 2007 and MS Word 2008? Because, i only have MS Word 2000 until 2007. I have try MS Word 3.3 and the color on it only 16 color, now we can use multiple color (16,777,216). Some feature will be adding by new version, but all word can be same because that still use same method with older version. What make it different is only on their system, it use new system and need more space to complete MS Word process.

I use MS 2007, and why not, when ppl have learnt to use the latest of the latest technologies then why not 2007. I feel if u try to use MS 2007 then u will surely over come the reasons of user friendly and etc...
2007 if far more advanced than 2007 with fonts and other graphics. It has powerful security system too.
For my, 2007 rocks. and will look for the newer version too if it comes. Try using and get a hand on experience over 2007 before 2000 gets outdated and you have no alternative.

I think we need more space to use MS Word 2007 to installing the application. I use MS Word 2000, because i don't need much space to use that application. More additional feature make that application, too much fill my hard disk drive space. Between 2000 and 2007, and now 2009 we need older application too. That application will not gets outdated, because still in same condition in every application for using older method. But...every application have different in OS System, that make every application must compatible with your operating system. Thanks for your response.
