Several years ago, my family and I took an Alaskan cruise that changed our lives. Shortly after the cruise, we decided to move to Alaska. Although we enjoyed our time there, we have since returned to the lower 48 for health and financial reasons. Have you ever taken an Alaskan cruise? What did you think of the ship? The ports? Alaska? Did it change your life or your outlook on life?

I have been on 3 cruises, all to various points in the Caribbean. I loved each of them. My wife and I are longing to take two more cruises, one to Alaska and one of the Mediterranean.

I have wanted to go to the Mediterranean on a cruise too. And if you want to go to Alaska on the ferry, it's quite a better way to go than cruise ship, I think. The ferry travels to more cities and travels closer to the shore. Your sights are better and it's not an entertainment cruise. But the sights are awesome.

hi jellen...no i've never taken one. when i saw a commercial for one it sure looked like a dream. i wouldn't want to live there but the cruise looked like it'd be so beautiful to observe. and for you to have moved there after your cruise it was everything and more. welcome back to the lower 48.

Thank you, actually, I've been back almost 5 years. But Glacier Bay was the most awesome, most beautiful place I think I've ever had the opportunity to see. I would certainly recomment a cruise in your younger years. Lots of folks wait to old age and then they can't enjoy as many aspects of the cruise as they would have had they traveled while they were younger.
