Well, hubby and I just missed the first 10 minutes of two and a half men, because of the Republican response to whatever Obama said...that we missed because another episode of two and a half men was on another station previous to this one.
We just came back to our program "already in progress," but we still missed 10 minutes of it.
Who else out there HATES when politics interrupts a favourite program?

yeah I hate it too, but I know I can always catch my programs at another time, and if it is something I want to here in the news then I don't mind so much, but if it is something I couldn't care less about then yes it irks me off.

I didn't happen to me but I would have been mad especially as Two and a Half Men is my favorite sitcom. Poor Alan and his son really make me laugh.

Well I gotta say - if it is politics I don't mind so much, as it will be impacting me...not that I watched Mr. Vague, but since I can't stand Two and a Half Men - I really don't care....although your post did give me a good laugh!!! But what I do hate is when a sports show causes me to miss my show....go play ball elsewhere!!! I want to watch my show!!!!

I hate political interruptions. I despise the conventions, etc., and will not watch political speeches, period.

Indeed... how dare they interrupt anything? I find it most annoying when they interrupt any regular television programme you might be watching with interest, and think they ought to have their own "politics" channel. That way, those interested in what the politicians are doing, or what bills they want to put through, can tune in to that channel whilst the rest of us watch our favourite programmes in peace!
Brightest Blessings.

You think that is bad? What about the time that Obama had his two hour long press conferences and we missed our favorite shows twice in a month. That ten minutes is diddlysquat compared to two whole hours of the "great leader, THE omnipotent one, one on hos will the sun sets and rises," shows how wonderful he is.

Me, too! They took off the last hour of The Biggest Loser. I have no interest in what Obama has to say. They don't need all the channels, either.

Yeah, they should have at least started the program from the beginning and not started the program already in progress.
Here is a link to watch any show on line and this isn't a referral link. Two and A half Men is also listed here. So if you ever miss another show you can watch it online. http://www.veoh.com/browse/tv-shows.html

I'll bet a bunch of tweens and American Idiot fans were ticked when Dorkbama moved their show to Wednesday night, I'm sure they would rather vote for a singer and cursed their parents for voting for this guy.

yes it is irrating when the news cuts in to a program especially when it was you like very much. some of the important things they cuts in with could wait until the news come on.
