Colleen!

I've always liked Colleen so I'm really pleased to see her getting a more prominent role on Y&R. She's been so courageous and sincere in her principled opposition to Victor. I loved how she stood up to Victor after Brad's funeral, at the board meeting, and after the meeting. While I think to an extent Jack is using her as just another tool to get at Victor (Jack is the epitome of "unprincipled opposition"!), Colleen obviously does want to continue her father's legacy and "make him proud of her" as she mentioned today. I'll be rooting for her all the way. What do you guys think of the new Colleen? I think Coffeebreak at this point is pretty much ready for Victor to be gone. I'm not quite there yet -- I think he's an important part of the show even though he's definitely one I love to hate. It's rare that I root for him, but who else is so complicated and unpredictable? I'm going to love every time that Colleen knocks Victor down a peg while on the Newman board, though. I'm hoping the writers don't force Colleen into a relationship just because she's becoming a prominent character. I thought there might be a possibility that she and JT would get back together again after they searched for Brad together, but now I'm hoping that doesn't happen. I think it would be more interesting for Colleen and Victoria to be allies on the Newman board as today's show suggested might be possible -- if JT leaves Victoria for Colleen, that won't happen obviously. Plus, the actor that plays JT is married to the actress that plays Victoria in real life...it's just mean to break them up on the show!

Yep, I"m ready for Victor to be gone!! But if they'd just make him talk audibly so we could understand him! He mumbles so much that I miss half of what he is saying! That is very annoying!!! Okay, so let him stay, he is a main pole in the pup tent, but can he do something beside be so self righteous and hateful? Good grief, from one famiy to the next! Victoria even said that few days ago.."he lost Sabrina and went to mexico and did whatever and 6 months later...he never mentions her name and is totally wrapped up in his new family wit Ash and Abby"... But I am cheering for Colleen. I thought befoe they did that that it'd be cool for her to step up and somehow say she should take Brad's seat but I didn't know howt hat worked, but I cheer her on! AND.. I hope she does knock Victor down a peg or two and even get in the threesome with Victoria nad Nick and those three give Newman new blood and focus and pull the company out of its stalemate of a position in the show..good grief, Laurens Boutique and store has more "umpf" to it! I hope they make Colleen stand on her own and WITHOUT a man...good grief can none of those women do anything on their own? Sure does give us a stupid name that they can't!

I can't argue with you about Victor's mumbling because I find it annoying, too! He said something to Ashley the other day that was totally unintelligible -- I'm sure he likes the tough guy role more, but that's no excuse not to even bother to enunciate your sweet talk. I guess Eric Braeden's native language is German; I wonder if one of the reasons he started mumbling on screen is because he wanted to disguise his accent. I'm still very happy with Colleen's new role. How do you think she's going to react when she finds that broken ceramic elephant on her floor...will she suspect that Victor sent someone to break into her house? I won't be surprised if she does freak out with the way everyone keeps telling her, "Don't mess with Victor". I definitely don't expect Sharon to fess up unless Colleen or Jack find her in tears on the doorstep. Y&R does seem to have its share of desperate ladies of late so I also think it's a very good thing that Colleen is breaking that mold. I still can't believe that both Phyllis and Karen caught their husbands kissing someone else and refused to confront their spouses about it. Is that supposed to be the standard reaction to that type of situation?! I'm a rather non-confrontational person myself, but there are some things you do need to take a stand about. Thankfully, Karen will confront Neil next week according to the previews so at least that little "secret" won't be drawn out too far.

I know! Ya kind of want to go "Speak, boy, speak!" and wave a treat infront of him! If I had seen my husband kissing someone on a bridge in Paris....I'd a gone and pushed one of them in the river! I wouldn't have walked away and the leave town without them knowing I was there! They'd a known...loud and clear!! That was really a stupid thing for them to do. I haven't seen much of Colleen lately, I do hope she gives Victor his come-uppance!! Thanks for BR.
