Paperback or Hard Cover?  

I agree with you 100%. I do like paperbacks for a few more reasons. Paperbacks are smaller and you can fit more books on a book shelf. Also, they will last as long as a hardcover if you put some clear contact paper on the cover. This makes them sturdier and a little more easy to read.

If I'm really studying a book and making notes in it, I prefer the hardcover.

Hi, I'm a lazy reader, and enjoy reading books either lying on the sofa/bed. I'm not used to lying on my stomach, so holding a hardcover book is really heavy. Moreover, as you mentioned, soft cover books are cheaper, so most of my books are the soft-cover type.

Paperbacks are cheaper and easily accessible because they are often mass produced but Hardcover books have a longer shelf life and if you're lucky you can occasionally happen upon a first edition. Edward R. Hamilton is a good source for hardback books because they often have books starting at $1 and the shipping is very good. When you order books from their mail order catalog or online they send you their bargain paper with all the $1 books.

I like both really but I don't like the hard covers when they have those like plastic outside covers or whatever you want to call them. They always just kind of hang off of the books sloppily while you're trying to read. But books are books and books are a really great form of entertainment for me.

i usually buy paperback books. they are cheaper than the hardcover and i find they are easier to take around with me cause they fit in my purse better LOL
ill occasionally buy a hardcover, but it usually depends on the type of book it is!!

I like paperback because they are usually smaller and more convenient to carry around. However, hardcovers usually seem to be in way better condition. My paperbacks almost always have a bend on the cover before I am done reading them.

Both are good to me.
