How often do you have takeouts and food deliveries?

It is just me and my husband at home and there are times I am way too lazy to cook. Pizza Huts delivers to us at least twice a month (normally on Saturday nights whenever we watch dvd), All saturday breakfasts are alternately bought from McDonald, Jollibee, Burger King, Chow King, Tapa King, Pancake House or Rufo's Tapa. The garbage collector could tell just by the amount of styro in our garbage bag.

i used to have takeout a lot but i barely have it anymore. im also really lazy and i don't really cook but takeout really puts a dent in your bank account quickly so i usually made quick pasta meals or make a hamburger or something. its so much easier and it saves me huge amounts of money!

yes i believe i could save a huge amount of money if i cook instead of always depend on takeouts and deliveries. i also make simple pasta meals from time to time but when it comes to cooking viands, i am not that good.

ugh! We eat out way to much. We do it sometimes 7 days a week. Then we get tired of eating out and realize how much money we save and go back to cooking and losing weight. But it is an endless cycle because it is just me and him also most of the time and it is hard to cook for two and I am just lazy sometimes.

oh we are in the same situation. really really hard to cook only for two people. especially those food that need quite a preparation, i would opt to eat them in the restaurant than prepare.

Friday nights are something to look forward in your household then. Just like my Saturday breakfasts, my husband always have a drive thru so that I don't cook breakfast on Saturdays and he would just wake me up with a breakfast ready

Normally, we prefer to have home cooked food be it our breakfast, lunch or dinner. We order for home deliveries occasionally, when my better half is too tired to cook or we do not have enough time left for cooking and we are feeling hungry and want to have our food quickly.

Not in my house, not on my Island! With that said, I truly am happy that we have NO take outs here! I truly, with all my heart, worry about the nutrional value, the processing of fast foods! And as I have stated, in my posts, before...whenever we go to a Metro area, and I indulge in any form of Fast Foods, I pay for it, with severe indigestion! Same foods I would make at home, like a Cheeseburger....or Chinese! Makes me truly wonder what's in the processing that creates "indigestional trauma?" I can honestly say, Fast Foods, are not in my retinue, and we always opt for home cooking! Guess the dollar value comes into play here, too! I think, if available, the amount of packaging would come into play, too.....! Cheers! Good discussion! Have a great weekend!

i am very much aware that fast foods are not healthy. they are processed and therefore contain lots of preservatives. it is good that you are eating healthy. i've been wanting to do that may be when i have kids already. either i will cook or hire a househelp that would take care of the cooking for us.

I have taken a couple of days to think about this discussion, and it really intrigues me, that you are not taking steps, now, to improve your eating, to give your future unborn child, the very best chances in the world! A lot of the toxins that are ingested in fast foods, leave residual build-up in the body! Like flourocarbons...and plastics! And this is so, for the sire of the child as well! Cheers!

your response has got me thinking too! i actually went to the grocery and bought a cart full of vegetables, fruits and chicken. Our dinner tonight is home cooked meal. And I've got my fridge stocked with something to cook for the whole week :)

Our family eats fast food about 1-2 times a month.I like the food I cook at home better then restaurants or takeouts expecially considering I know how much salt and things go in it. It does come in handy if you dont have time to cook though but try not to do it to often. :)
