I think cookie cutters are so much fun..you can get all kinds..mine is the animal ones..so much fun to dress them up with colored candy, sprinkles, choc chips etc.
What is yours?

I like this topic. hmm I like heart and lots of different animals ;-) they even taste better when they are shaped :-p

thanks for liking the topic..I hope u rate it..lol. Yes, there is just something about cookies being shaped..seems more delicious.
I noticed my kids loved them more when I had them shaped and also had them help do it too..getting them involved and having quality time together.

i have a whole kitchen drawer full of all different kinds of cookie cutters. one year one of my girlfriend's brought me a bunch of cookie cutters over to me to add to my collection of them. i have found many of the cookie cutters that i do have right now brand new at different yard sales that i have stopped at in the past. i even have Halloween cookie cutters. a witch riding her broom stick, a ghost, a pumpkin and a black cat. this past Christmas season i was sick with some kind of a virus and i didn't get to make any sugar cookies. this past year with not being able to make the sugar cookies due to being sick, everybody in the family missed the cookies. lol i also have heart shaped cookie cutters. maybe i can make some homemade iced sugar cookies with sprinkles on them this year around Easter time.

Hehehe, it's really hard to pick my favorite one, I have a whole set that I like. I still have mine from when I was a kid and my Mom used to make me cookies with them. (That was back in the early 50's) They are storybook characters: Humpty Dumpty, Hickory Dicory Dock (clock) and so many others. I still use them today, only now I make and decorate for my grandchildren. Have a great weekend!

I have cookie cutters for all holidays. My children love to bake cookies and decorate them, though it a complete and utter mess but so much fun. My mother started this with my sister and I when we were younger so I wanted to do it with my kids. I can remember how much fun it was, and how special it was to spend that time with my mom. Our favorite cookie cutters are actually the plain ones. The hearts, stars, and things. They make the cookies come out better than some of the more detailed cutters. My favorite brand of them is Wilton. I also like the silicon cutters, but brass work the best, but are more expensive.
