Ron Paul's son Rand, longtime Chairman of the KY Taxpayers Association, has decided that it maybe necessary to follow in his fathers footsteps. If current Senator Jim Bunning (R) decides not to run for re-election Rand has placed the idea to run against liberal Republican David Williams for the Republican nomination for the U.S Senate from Kentucky. Rand's main problem with the current President of the Kentucky state Senate is his support for a statewide tax increase, and a statewide smoking ban. If this happens I think we should all get behind him and support his bid for the Senate, event if you do not live in Kentucky.

If he is anything like his father than Kentucky will be lucky to get him as their senator. We could use more people that have the proper respect for the constitution and tax payer money.

Well Lilwonders my husband has actually meet Rand one day at a rally for his father. He believes that Rand is everything like his father. Not only could Kentucky use a man of Rand's caliber but so too America as a whole. Understanding that Ron is getting up in the years, even though 70 is the new 50 someone needs to keep the fire for freedom burning.

Ron Paul actually has a large family. Maybe we should get them all to run in different states so that we would have more states represented by decent and honorable politicans.

That sounds like a good idea. Mind you I do not like smokers, and I think that perhaps it is better if they choose to give it up willingly and not to have the government force them to. Else they will be very unhappy and sneak smokes behind everyone's back. But I am more against liberals, as well as those who want a statewide tax increase, or a federal tax increase for that matter. By the way, in what party would Mr. Rand Paul be running in?

Thanks. I was wondering, because was not Ron Paul a liberatian =- what ever that is? I can understand Democrats and Republicans, and way out parties like Communists, but I do not know where the Liberatian party stands. Is it in the middle, to the left, to the right, to the far left, or to the far right? Not clear about it.

I certainly don't have to live in Kentucky to support someone who is conservative.
