I have an unfinished novel I started writing more than 20 years ago. I wrote it on my first computer, an Amstrad, and since I moved here, I can't find the hard copy. Although the outline is still in my head, I haven't been able to motivate myself to start all over again. Mostly I stay in my comfort zone of writing factual articles, although I also have a few stories and poems as well.

Yes! And the No! No! No!
I am not ambitious about my writing career at all. I do not have much faith either on my writing ability. In my mother tongue, a language enriched by Poet Rabindranath Tagore, I feel ashamed of my writing ability. Also using so much English for official communication has done a major damage to whatever I had in my school days.
But I wish to find sometime to write also! Not now, but in a far away future, when I'll have time to relax and rejoice, and to sit for a while in a calm and comfortable place - and yet far away from any high-pitched city life!
And I'll write. Not to be a top seller, not to see it in the cover stories of International Mags. But to express myself in a different way, which I know, I can't at this stage due to some constraints.
Hope one day, I'll speak out my believes and thoughts in my own way - and hopefully, some people will find that useful.

Oh! What a beautiful and imaginative thought by you, Jen
Given the choice I would like to go for my autobiography and would like to share some of my experiences with the readers. I also wish that I could write a novel some day, may be fiction. Reading and writing are linked, I believe, it is also a great fun and learning experience reading stories of others.
Good Post!

Neither.....I don't want to read about me. I'd rather spend my time conjuring up stories from somewhere in the back of my head...and truthfully...though we think our lives are interesting..and they maybe are to our friends and family..I have seen very few people who need to have an autobiography about themselves out there...for their families yes....

I have no desire to write a novel nor to write an autobiography. I want to keep writing my articles, web content and blog posts.
I published around 200 articles and hundreds of blog posts last year. I also posted nearly 4000 responses at myLot within 12 months.
I want to be more productive this year, so I'm posting less at myLot and concentrating on my other writing.
I love reading good fiction and biography, but there is no way I'm ever going to write a book. I have worked in publishing and was a bookseller for many years.

Hi there Jenaisle!
I always dream about writing my own novels and have some ideas already but I just don't have the time and the patience to do it. I just hope someday, inspiration will kick in that I can write a good novel too.
