Where's my damn squirrel???? Yeah, you heard me..... Where is it???

You know who you are! I've been waiting patiently for months now..... The neighbourhood cats have been sent packing to keep the immediate area as safe as possible; the panda's been shown repeats of Rocky & Bullwinkle over and over again in preparation, so that the very sight of a squirrel won't come as a shock..... And I've even been stockpiling nuts in the spare room in anticipation of the furry little dude's arrival! But alas, I am still squirrel-less! I didn't even care if it was a white one or not to be honest! Oh well, time to cut my losses I guess..... Does anyone have any suggestions on what the hell I could do with all of these nuts??? And how do I get all the cats to come back? Any and all ideas are most welcome.....

Try transforming into 'NUTTY PROFESSOR' so you could give a lesson or two to all those nutts bothering ya. You'll look so adorable too, ensuring all the cat's return. But as for your squirrel......well....wait till she gets over her furry crush.

Maybe it's a bi-curious squirrel? I don't think transforming myself into a Nutty Professor would be the wisest move, Daffodil. I may end up getting attacked and eaten! Anyways, I'd much prefer squirrels to cat's I think. Squirrels taste better too! lol.

All those nuts ? Eat them James. I think the guy is migrating. Now do you want your furry little dude back or all those cats ? Flavour the nuts with cheese and you will have some furry RATS. Now will the cats be far behind ? And do you have a squirrel phobia by any chance ?

Squirrel phobia? Only when it comes to my nuts Alok! lol. I'd definitely prefer the squirrel to feral neighbourhood cats, no question! But there IS no squirrel 'cos it hasn't arrived..... So here I am with all these nuts, a squirrel-savvy panda and a cat-free street! So the rats you've mentioned could become a real concern now I reckon. Hmmmm, maybe I could use all these nuts to bribe the rats? Here rats..... You can have ALL these nuts if you go and live somewhere else.... Not a bad idea actually! Thanks for instigating that line of thought mate!

Bamboo shoots do wonders with Squirrels James. Take some away from you panda. That's why the furry guy is keeping away.

I don't know where your squirrel ended up, but i remember the Pigeons in "Home Alone 2 - Lost in New York" - i mean those that Harv and Marty were sho-wing off the ice-skate border. I was thinking that just recently mylot ate 3$ after deleting all my pictures in the last 2 months, but what i am really sorry for is that they deleted all my cats pictures and now i will have to post them again. Nuts are good for eating as well James, so you can eat nuts - and since we are what we eat, you will be able to say that you are nuts... just kiddin'

I saw your comments regarding all your pics being deleted elitess. That's not good at all. And there go all my comments alongside them too I guess. A $3 drop is certainly a fair kick in the butt too, I'm sorry to be hearing this. By the way, there are WAY too many nuts for me to be eating them all! And as you know, the panda's not gonna be going near them either. And I don't need to be EATING nuts to validate my own status of being nutty, not at all! I like to think of it as an ingrained character trait that is fuelled entirely by air! lol. If you bump into Harv and Marty, ask them if they've seen my squirrel will ya. Thanks.

Scrat! I love that dude. lol. Aside from resading something some time back about pic posting limits per day, I don't know enough about the overall ins and outs of posting pics myself to offer any ideas on what may have happened and why I'm afraid. But I do hope you get your enthusiasm back after payment!

Hi there James once again. Be careful as eating nuts will lead to fights with Scrat from Ice Age. About what i said in my first response, i received no answer from them, so i gave up on trying to get an explanation for it, i have my suspicions about it but never mind - i think my real mood for posting will be back once i receive my payment from mylot.

Oh c'mon... you surely don't want to encourage the return of the neighbourhood cats - unless you are in need of target practice with your water-pistol As for what to do with your nuts...well, go with whatever feels good for you Come to think of it, I haven't seen our squirrels lately either. Maybe they are holding a convention somewhere... perhaps a bit like that dream I had under the influence of ibuprofen where they were all dressed in courtroom wigs and gowns at the Theatre Royal..... but thats a whole new discussion

Note to self: Send pesky yard rats to James. The dogs will be happy. Second note to self: Don't eat at his house when he's having ravioli. My uncle made them into spaghetti sauce and didn't tell me until after we ate. I never did like him much.

Yard rats? Yeah, why the heck not! Maybe I can staple fluffy tails on 'em and no-one'll know the difference? Your Uncle sounds like a very budget effective man! It's a great attitude to have in these supposed times of scarcity if ya ask me! I just hope he went easy on the garlic is all.....

We have had squirrels hopping about for weeks now..The cats do chase them but no worries they can never catch them since the squirrels are so fast and we can sit on our front porch and watch anywhere from 3-10 at any given moment. They love corn..also..they keep eating my brother in laws corn that he has for his chickens. I live up a holler so we have alot of trees around..

Yeah I could squirrel away that millions to since they wouldn't cost much for the upkeep of them. But I just enjoy them to much in their natural habitat to do that to them..and also they bite like a mother......and I wouldn't be the one who has to catch them they are way to fast and run like the wind..

I think I'd chase squirrels too if given half the chance! I haven't seen any here in Egypt though. they do have this funny looking rat-weasel type thing, but they're apparently quite nasty, so I haven't gone to close to one of them to check them out properly. Even the feral cats don't go near them! You should try and catch a group of 'em and train 'em to do tricks! "Squirrel Circus" - Find the right promoter and you could make millions! lol.

Go nuts over nuts is just nutty, you nutcase! Erm... ok. I hope by this time the little furry dude has come along, but in case he hasn't you might want to try some peanuts in the shell. My grandma used to lure squirrels with them when we were on a holiday. They grabbed them right out of her hand and I was able to view them up close. These where red squirrels though, if you want a white one perhaps you'd better go with macademia nuts? Or go crazy with pistachio...! You never know what exotic creatures that will have you end up with . The other ones you put on ebay, if they can sell a half eaten sandwich your nuts will sell too!

I think I have a simple though great solution for that problem! Why not make an incision in the snicker bar, so when she reaches that point it will be more easy to break? Make sure you get the nibbling action on camera; a DVD to go along with the nibbled snickers bar means exra bucks for you! I don't need any thank you, just make sure you give your panda a new bamboo playpen if you hit the big cash.

Very good idea cyberfluf and the simple approaches are often the best! And I shall honour your wishes and not provide thanks then. I WILL however keep for you a lock of Oprah's hair and one of her teeth to wear as a necklace if I manage to pull this off! If you're REAL lucky, I may even be able to get her to sign the tooth! (Or at least get her to leave a chocolate fingerprint smear on it!)

Great use of the word "nut" in the first sentence there cyberfluf! lol. He arrived alright, Sparkling white like fresh snow he is too! So what did Grandma do with all these squirrels once they came up close then? Did she eat 'em?? I was thinking that next time I'm gonna try using a Snickers bar as bait and try to attract Oprah instead! If I get her, I'll only let he eat half of it and then will put it on ebay for sure! I'll get big bucks for a Snickers that Oprah nibbled! It's gonna be one hell of a fight trying to get the Snickers back after she's only eaten half of it though.....

maybe ,i got some deeper injury, which the CT scan didnot show???what on hell is this Rocky and Bullwinkle stuff????.when my girl was younger, around 2(now shes 6),i used to feed her with pudding by showing her the squirrels.(there were some around our house)they are really sly creatures.i think, they used to have more nuts from me than the pudding my daughter used to have.now that my daughter has overgrown, the poor squirrels donot get their free delicacy.(i hope)and yah,i do have some containers to store these stuff.

yup,i am somewhat better now.you have heard of that saying?NECCESSITY IS THE MOTHER OF INVENTION!!WELL,THIS IS ONE OF THE CASES,WERE I HAD TO LITERALLY APPLY THAT.as for Rocky and bullwinkle,i think you are having a bad typo day or rather nothing is making sense to me.(it doesnt ever!!!)

lol. I'm happy to hear you're a little better then. Asd for Rocky and Bullwinkle, Rocky the squirrel wears a leather aviator helmet! Bullwinkle the Moose has a small bowler typoe hat on I think? Hi Mable! I hope you're feeling a bit better now! I've never heard of using squirrels to help make kids eat their pudding! lol. Sounds pretty effective though. I'd put out some free pudding too if I were you, The last thing you need is a squirrel uprising! As for Rocky and Bullwinkle, I have no idea what the deal is with those two. A quirrel with a leather aviator helmet on??? That's just stupid..... EVETYONE knows that squirrels like to wear top hats!

Heya sharra! Are your ears burning by any chance? I just asked Lash not so long ago, to pass on his regards..... I have my squirrel now, yes! Jeez i had to fight for it though! lol. As far as I know, he's the only one here too. They have some rat weasel looking thing that runs around the streets, but I'm yet to see another squirrel. Maybe all the Pharoahs killed them a few thousand years back? I'm a fan of nuts myself and love pistachios and cashews especially. If these were the types of nuts I had stockpiled, then there wouldn't be an issue, no way! But alas, this is not the case. It's great to see you here again and thanks for the comments. Happy nutting!

My ears were just a touch warm but that was after he said that James and Tracy had been asking after me. lol. I am glad you found your squirrel but it must be awfully hot for the poor little creature out there and no trees to romp in. What does he do when the winter does not come? Does he get all confused and lost?

lol No, in Los Angeles we lived in an older neighborhood where the trees had grown in and there were lots of squirrels, possums and other critters. Here in Sacramento, it's a new development and, other than a protected oak tree, all our trees are new and very small. The quillies haven't moved in yet. But we've seen lizards and snakes and wild turkeys and all kinds of critters, just no squirrels.

Your squirrel and I had a talk during our long walk back to reality and said that it would never show up on your doorstep even if your house is overflowing with nuts. It has done a lot of thinking and said that all the expectations for it is way too much of a pressure that it is leaving for a much simpler kind of life.

So THAT's where you've been then! Goodness me SaintAnne, I was gettin' ready to hire one of those satellites to try and find ya! I'm happy that you were able to connect so deeply with the squirrel though. I guess I went overvoard with all the nuts yes? Oh well. If he wishes for a simpler life, then a simpoler life she hall have...... When you next see him, please tell him that there's no pressure on him to eat all the nuts or do anything other than stand in the microwave for me for 10 minutes or so. Easy! Nice to see you back!

Sort of adds a whole new diminesion to "playing with your food" doesn't it! They taste like chicken yes? That's what I reckon anyways. And if ya get one that's just eaten, the nuts in their tummy make 'em crunchy!
