Click below to see my thoughts on the best personal defense products. People need to protect themselves against intrusions in their home and attacks when out doing our daily routine.
What are your thoughts on the best self defense products and why?

I think I would carry around pepper spray if I take public transportation. It is safe because it doesn't kill the person and gives me the time to get away and call for help. I think we should learn some moves just in case to protect ourselves, but I am against weapons.

Arn't tazers pretty dangerous.. like wouldn't they leave marks on skin or really hurt people? I know pepper spray can too, but if you keep it capped it's safe and it's not too bad if it gets on the skin, but tazers seems more hard core for me.

Tasers are actually safer than pepper spray. Tasers don't leave long term affects.
With pepper spray, if a person has asthma or other breathing problems, the pepper spray can actually cause major problems. Pepper spray makes the airway swell leaving it hard for the person who was sprayed to breathe.
Tasers do hurt when they are used, that is really the point. But the pain doesn't last for a long time and the person who was tased will not suffer things such as asthma attacks. Pepper spray hurts as well and can be accidentally discharged. You also have to be very careful that you are pointing it in the right direction. And please don't spray it into the wind. The pepper spray will blow right into your face. This can't happen with a Taser.
The prongs on a taser are not very big at all. So this doesn't leave marks on a person for long. There are also training videos that you can get right from the Taser site so that you know how to use it properly and part of the training is to warn someone that you have a taser and to back away. usually that is enough to get the person to walk away without any harm coming to anyone at all. Just some food for thought.
