Don't you believe this phrase on some people? Some people are just so "Great at friendship, but bad at intimacy." When they were still boyfriend and girlfriend, they have great romantic relationship. After they got married, they'll see the defects on each other. Would that be true?

yes, it is possible!
some people tend to be hypocrite. after getting what they wanted, and what their real motive is, there real personality appears. it's but the motive that makes it.

So, you consider being boyfriend & girlfriend just a "friendship" and marraige as "intimacy"?
I don't really understand the question, completely, but from what I understand, I think there are people that are great at sustaining FRIENDSHIPS and not-so-great at maintaining a relationship, if that's what you mean.
