Expired baby food  |

|  ok so i woke this morning to a horrible sight. last night i was cleaning our cupboards out and pulled the expired baby food jars out. we had gotten some from a friend of the family who wasn't going to use them for her son anymore. i went to bed early last night and my boyfriend fed one of the jars to my daughter. i keep waiting for the dr's office to open so i can call and see how bad this is. the food expired 9/08! i have looked on line for information but have come up with nothing!! i decided to look here for answers next while i keep searching.

| |  Honestly, she will probably be just fine. I have read on the internet before that on a lot of canned (and I am assuming jarred foods as well) the expiration date does not really mean anything. If it is stored in a cool dry place and there is no sign of tampering with the can then canned foods can be safe to eat for a few years past the date on them. I don't see jarred foods being any different.

| |  did your daughter have diarrhea? but if it is expired and the baby food was that bad her body would have reacted to it at once.

Tracy don't worry nothing bad will happen to your daughter if she consumed the expired food.except for some special drugs every thing can be consumed after an expiry if it is stored at a proper place .the only thing that can happen to that expired is that it looses its nutritious value but it won't do anything bad to us.So
relax but always be careful in future.

| | hi friend there is nothing to worry if your child has consumed an expired food .except for some special drugs these things cannot do any harm to you.T he only thing that can happen is that it can loose its nutritious value.So relax and don't but be careful in future.
