Is love more of a physical thing or mental thing

I think you confuse yourself with love and infatuation. This is actually brought about by our society's acceptance of the word LOVE. People use it too much, and it has somehow lost its meaning. With the phrases:

I love your hair!
I love pizza.
I love dancing in the rain.

It's more of an expression really. It's not anymore the romantic feeling of having your knees weak, heart pumping, and emotions afloat when that person you love calls your name!

My dear friend, all you've been talking about are infatuation. They are infatuated with beauty, that's why they say they love those people.

Remember that in loving, it involves two people feeling the same way for each other. There's no such thing as one-sided love. Love can never be found where it doesn't exist, nor can it be hidden when it truly does!

love is more of a physical thing: most loves start with physical attraction and the fruit/s of love is given existence in being physcially together. however, it is what you make out of that love (meaning use your thinking to sustain that love) that started with pysical attraction that would make love last.

you may never know actually, love maybe both a physical and mental attraction for some people in the world. but the maximum of people would feel physical attraction and rarely you get to see mental ones.

You may confused with love and appreciation. You can not tell you are in love when all you can see is her or his physical attributes. After many years it all fade away with wrinkles. Love is undefinable, you can not really tell you are in love. But for me "LOVE" is when you wake up each day feeling good and feeling happy when you think of her or him and the memories you shared each single day. You can not wait to see him or her and you think what to do to make him or her happy. And after so many years that feeling is still there though trials tried to stop you from loving him or her and that is "LOVE" for me. Just like the song from the wedding singer " Wanna Grow Old with You". If love is present in all of our heart, there would never be people suffered from abuse in this world.
