hey everybody I need your help, I need some alternatives to ponds I have filled in our pond due to having young kids and needed the garden to be safer now here comes the question we are looking at attracting wildlife newts frogs etc etc to our garden and we have got frog spawn in a container saved from the pond that we filled in, what I am looking at finding out is any alternatives to ponds that are safe for children but will still attract wildlife and encourage mating frogs next year. cheers in advance

The small koi pond may be of some interest to you. You can buy the already formed hard plastic mini ponds. All you have to do for it is dig the hole and put it in, install a pump and add the decorations you would like.

yeah I had a pre-formed one originally but with having young kids dont really want anything too large from obviously a safety point of view.

er...backyard mini-waterfall? it will be more "zen", and it will be more shallow.
