Looking back at the memory lane, do you ever know what happened to the popular girls in your school? The ones who had dates every weekend, the ones who got flowers from secret admirers, the ones who guys drooled over? Well, for mine, the 'popular girls' in high school didn't do much in college. They weren't so popular at all, they were just one of the 'normal' kids. The not-so-popular were the ones getting popular. It's really weird. Anyhow, a few years after college, those girls were either impregnated, didn't finish school, or did fine. I guess life isn't a popularity contest. Even if you're popular now, doesn't mean it'll last. So keep you feet on the ground, and don't step on anyone's toes. So what happened to the popular girls in your school? or where you one of them?

Yeah, I was one of them. I am doing alright I graduated from college and looking for a position in the communication field now. I am doing great, but I will tell you I made a lot of sorry choices in college and so did my best friends. One got pregnant and one never went to college and lives at home-but she has her cosmotology degree and likes what she does. I will say this, I notice those who thrive in high school don't do so well or enjoy college too much and the college lovers and popular college people didnt like high school to much.

It's good to hear your side too. But, do you ever regret being 'popular' or being with 'popular' people?

I regret a lot of my choices yes, and so have my friend yes, but through time we have realized how stupid and awful we really were and fortunately our consequences have not allowed us from learning from them. We are wiser, still single, and still good freinds. One of them volunteers for children and women homeless shelters and run marathons for them. My preganant friend now helps others who are going through what she once did educating girls and is a wonderful mother. I feel like I have to be there for my sisters and not let them become like I was and sort of be their mentor. In essence, we grew up. :)

Well I know when I was young I hated the people that thought they were better than others. I mean hate is a strong word but it just seemed like they did not care about anyone but themselfs. I have seen a few of the so called popular girls and it seems things do seem to turn around. A lot of them are ugly and fat now. I think it is kinda of funny but than my heart goes out to people that think looking good is the only thing in life. It fades away with age, love and life are based on feelings and doing good for others not looking the best. Nice discussion and happy mylotting to you.

Same here majority of the popular girls ended up pregnant, unsucessful in college some even got fat... and on the other hand I have a couple of friends who have Great jobs, husbands, and kids... but most of them are not worth much... My cousin and all her popular friends don't have any foundation they are still hanging with each other going clubing, chasing guys, some have kids its a mess...

Hey there! Some of the popular girls when I was high school now has their own family. They got pregnant when they were in college. Some of them still pursued and finished their studies but they weren't popular anymore. Yes, I agree that popularity doesn't last a lifetime. It only last in our memory. Have a nice day. Happy posting!!
