Old friends

This week on facebook, I had a friend request from a young man and it took me forever to figure out who it was!

His dad was the youth and music pastor at the church where Mike and I attended in Orlando back in the 80's! Nathan was just 7 or 8 years old then. Now, he's married with a new baby. He had seen my profile on a mutual friend's page and decided to add me, mainly so we could reconnect with his parents!

Have you used one of the social networks to find an old friend? Maybe from high school?

About a week ago I thought I'd just mess around and see if I could find some of the people I went to school with when I attended a school from K-4 to 4th grade. I still know most of the people I went to high school with (it isn't hard to know them, it is such a small group). Anyway, I hit pay dirt with one particular person. And I found him because google came up with his Facebook page. It was really cool! So I'm thinking of taking the advice of several people online and offline, and signing up for a Facebook account.

You'll have to find me when you get on Facebook! I'd love to have you as a friend. The site is awesome and I have so much fun talking to all the old gang on there. I'm still waiting for one specific person to get a facebook page. He's one that seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.
