Are Chain Restaurants Still Serving and Known For Junk Food Still?

Health education and awareness has certainly improved our lives and I believe that it had started to work into the kitchens of junk food joints. Of late, there are studies being conducted and it is quite comforting to know that our younger generation will be eating well in the future. I came across an article on the net about Eat This, Not That!(USA) launching an investigation and put 66 major chain restaurants under the nutritional microscope — not only are their reports assuring so that our family can continue to eat out at these chain restaurants, but do so with an added knowledge the types of insider tips and savvy strategies that can help melt fat all year long. And the good news is that many fan favorites scored top marks! I quote a report on one of the world's favorite: McDonald’s The world-famous burger baron has come a long way since the days of Fast Food Nation — at least nutritionally speaking. The trans fats are mostly gone, the number of gut-wrecking calorie bombs are now fewer than ever, and the menu holds plenty of healthy options such as salads and yogurt parfaits. Don't cut loose at the counter just yet, though. Too many of the breakfast and lunch sandwiches still top the 500-calorie mark, and the dessert menu is fodder for some major belly-building. SURVIVAL STRATEGY: The Egg McMuffin remains one of the best ways to start your day in the fast-food world—feel free to use it as a replacement option for any of these eight worst fast food breakfasts in America! As for the later hours, you can splurge on a Big Mac or a Quarter Pounder, but only if you skip the fries and soda, which add an average of 590 calories onto any meal. There are reports for other chain restaurants as well in the article. Although, I can guarantee that the reports here are accurate, non bias or commercialize; however, I think that it would not be published by a Yahoo! Health Expert for Nutrition if it is so. I am sure if you or your family members are fans of these chain restaurants, it will be comforting and assuring. I hope this article will be of help and that everyone will be able to eat and live healthily. Cheers. We are certainly fans, but we have stopped eating them one because the prices of fast food is now ridiculous. I have also gained some weight eating out to much. Once I stopped i dropped 5 lbs in the snap of the finger and it is certainly not healthy for you at all.

baileycows, I do agree with you here that most of the items on these chain restaurants' menus are quite unhealthy. However, as this guide had shown there are still some items in the list that will be worth our consideration - health wise, of course. I do not really know about the chain restaurants at your place, but there are a few chain restaurants in Asia where the prices have been adjusted lower between 15%-30%. I am glad for your weight loss here and I do hope that you will stay on top as far as health is concerned. Take care and thanks for your comments here.

This is certainly good to know and that these fast food restaurants are trying to improve their menus so that we would not be eating harmful junk food at the end of the day. It is only befitting as fast food restaurants have to realize that money is not everything. They need to be environmentally and health friendly. Most of all responsible and morally inclined as they are serving food which is a necessity for every human being. Letting people eat harmful junk food is immoral and irresponsible. Great post and thanks for sharing here.
