Does your cat do this...... |
| |
| Does your cat intinally knock over a box and then fall asleep in it. My cats do this and it drives me crazy. There is a large plastic crate in the kids toyroom that I keep my daughters dolls in. Well every day its on the floor with all her dolls and My Little Ponys scattered everywhere. But there ismnt anyone around so I couldnt figure out what was going on. When I would ask my kids they said they didnt do it. Well this morning I found my culprit, our kitten Mario. I walked in and there was a mess with the box turned over and he was sleeping in the box. So I left him there but once he decides to leave I will pick up the mess and move the box. But not only do they get in boxs they will jump up on shelves and sleep whether its empty or not. Mario decided to sleep on my daughters shelf with all her Hello Kittys on it. Cleaned up the mess but will keep the door closed. Is this part of a cats personality or is it my cats are out to get me lol. Any suggestions on keeping them off of shelves or boxrs that have vaulables in or on them? What crazy stuff does your cat do? | | | | | |

| | Cats only do what pleases them and they love to sleep in very funny places. Never take it personally. Cat's are the most selfish of pets, and if they choose to love you and include you in their lives you will feel almost royal. If you are a cat lover you know that you must meet and enjoy them on their level. good Luck | | | | | | |

| | Yes I am a cat lover. I have five cats and the female had her second litter. You are right about enjoying them on their level. I love my little furballs no matter what and I will accept them just the way they are. | | | |

| | My cat will do something similar. he will knock over my laundry hamper and sleep on the clothes. He also enjoys sleeping on crinkly things, such as important papers or a grocery bag. I suppose it's just in a cat's nature. Gotta love them. | | | | | | |

| | my cat, in fact is a kitty, a male, black with white. he likes to sleep only in bed, with us, or onto plastic bags. in the kitchen, he climbs on the table and trashes the bread. he trashes the garbage, even if he eated a lot. so, that's a cat's life. | | | | | | |

| | Cats have such intresting lives. Mine love to get inside the bag and chase it around the kitchen. The other day I went to pick up my Walmart bag and I wondered why it was so heavy and one of the cats had crawled in it. Thanks for your response. | | | |

| | Hehehe....that's funny. I don't know but I think a lot of cats are just like that lol. I've had many cats over the years who just loved to empty and sleep in boxes. One of the cats I have right now is like that, if there's a box, he has to investigate it. Then he will tip it over until everything spills out, and then take a nice long nap lol. What I do when I have a box I want him to stay out of (or anything else I want him to stay out of, or off of) is I take a pepper shaker and shake it all over it. After a few times of doing that, the cat learns to stay off (or out.) My cat only needed 3 nights of me putting black pepper on the edges of my kitchen counters, and he won't even try to get up there anymore (and it's been about 5 years since I did it the 3 times.) I even did the pepper trick on the edges of my large buffet for a few days, and I have crystalware up there...he just doesn't try to go up there anymore. I know it'd be hard to do that in a box with your kids toys, but how about getting a box and putting in it an old soft sweater, or something else soft. Leave the flaps on the box, the box on it's side, with the blanket or whatever inside of it. Chances are good that Mario will adopt that box as his own. I did this for my one cat, and I put the box with the blanket under my bed. I don't know but I think they like the idea that they are hiding away from harm while they're sleeping or something like that. | | | | | | |
