Can a Christian support abortion on demand?

I know that there must be many Christians who have pro-abortion convictions. I would like to hear & discuss how such convictions line up with biblical positions on the value of life and protections for those who are vulnerable.

I don't think it's right for a christian to support abortion on demand. There's no offer that will be enough for him/her to accept that awesome act. The only way I can say yes to abortion is in critical situation. It could be that the mother's life is danger, in this case, it's better to save the mother's life.

My wife and I were young when Roe v Wade was decided. I made a statement something like yours about saving the mother's life. Her response was, "Which of my children would I not die to save?" The issue was settle in our family.

I don't know how anyone could be a Christian and also Pro-Abortion. I believe as a Christian it is up to us to uphold the rights of the unborn child, and would love to see the day when Abortion was made illegal, although I can't see this happening for a long time.

It is my sincere hope that our children will come to see the gross immorality of taking innocent human life for some personal convenience and make a change!

Thanks for the link, I will follow it to see where it leads, but my problem is not seeing the wrong in abortion. I wonder how a Christian could take a position supporting abortion on demand.
