Yes, it is true.
Those who follow the President's remarks chronologically have noticed a disturbing pattern of inconsistancy. The worst crisis of our modern times, now is not so bad? Whoa!
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2009/03/12/2009-03-12_president_obama_economic_crisis_not_as_d.html
I say there is bound to be a critical shortage of tar and feathers for sale if the President and his cohorts keep verbally whipsawing political opinion with their week to week inconsistant rhetoric.
What do you say?

Well I suppose Obama will make sure that he is protected from the irate citizens who may have to turn off the heat, drain the old oil off their cars, and scrounge around for the necessary ingredients and maybe cut apart all their feather pillows, but the most important thing is to have that rail you all plan to ride him out of town on.

Ah... your words are the beginning few strokes of a wonderful painting. I can see it now. Let me add a few strokes to the image you are creating.
Across the nation's capital, flickering light from the torchs held high from a brigade of brigands, illuminate the surrounding national monuments and governmental building. Most beautiful of all are the oranges, yellows, and reds on the surface of the reflecting pool mingled with the sparkling like diamonds twinkle from the tines of the pitchforks.
The crowd chants, "0bama, 0bama, 0bama"
Then the search is on, but 0bama is not to be found. Until several Secret Service Agents come running, flinging away their weapons while shouting, "We will show you where he is!".
"Heat the tar!", goes up the cry.
"Bring more feathers!" shout others.
"Find a rail with lot's of splinters!" shouts someone else.
And so it was that 0bama learned that while there was no such thing as a FREE LUNCH, there was a FREE RIDE out of town for those who tried to huckster the notion of a FREE LUNCH to the nation.

I thought it was funny. Get back at him for all those lies that he told and promising a free lunch just to get the money from the people who made America great. I saw quite a few cartoons and I did see an comedy movie, and I just can see something like that happening. And besides they are not using the tar for fuel this time, they are using it for a different purpose. As for the feathers, well there are more people who are allergic to feathers, and this is a good way to use them. Say I wonder if Obama is. What I want to know is will it be televized.

I forget which politician it was who said the other day that it was important to push through the stimulus because it is worse than it seems. Now Obama says it is not that bad. If it is not that bad why did he consider it an emergency for us to have these stimulus packages forced upon us. It was not that long ago he told us we were in a horrible way. I guess it really isn't that bad for him if he is eating $120 a pound steak and serving it to his friends. However, for other people, it is bad. I went to the grocery store the other day and a small bag of candy was a few cents shy of a $5.00. He knows people recent him. Even the people who voted for him are starting to see his true colors. He will not get in office 2012..and he knows it.

Certainly, 0bama has a good chance of being a one term President. I do wonder if he knows it. 0bama possibly thinks the majority are incredibly stupid because we elected him once. It could be that he feels since he fooled Americans once, he can do it again. Let's hope not!
If Clinton could win a second term, so could 0bama. We must work hard to elect someone else in 2012. We should even urge democrats to nominate someone else.

I saw him say that on TV and it really ticked me off. He does not have to worry about putting food on the table, supporting a family on unemployment or a fixed income. He can again try to snow the American people but who knows maybe if he does not start to live up to his golden glib campaign promises his job could be in jeopardy.

Can we vote 0bama and his minions out of office, thus costing the ONE his job? YES, WE CAN!
Unfortunately, the retirement program for the Presidency is fairly generous and 0bama is set for life as long as he does not completely wreck the U.S.A.

I say the 0bamunist thinks that just because people were stupid enough to vote for him, that they are stupid enough to believe every word he says.
While there are indeed many that stupid... there are also a great many who are not, and many more are starting to see this lying SOB for what he is.
He claims that he does not like spending taxpayer money, and has no interest is expanding government... yet that is exactly what he is doing.
Where Reagan is remembered as The Great Communicator... The 0bamunist will forever be remembered as The Great Deceiver.
This administration is still campaigning... they have to in order to continue selling their agenda that will only further erode our economy.

One thing that people need to remember here is that the Bush administration has done a great deal of damage to the country, as has the Republican majority congressional house of the late 90's. I voted because i believed and still believe that Mr. Obama has our nations best interests in mind. The problem is this...he has to not only work toward what he promised, but he also at the same time has to clean up the mess that Bush left behind. Think about it. we have this war that's been waging since essentially 9/11 that's cost the country considerable money...for...what? finding weapons of mass destruction that never existed? wait wait...that's right we were going after Osama Bin La din...which somehow became Saddam Hussein...and now that we have him...what is it now? Add in the fact that because the Republican majority ruled congress of 1998 passed a law that rescinded a law that was originally passed just after the Great Depression, to keep the banks from doing just exactly what they have done to cause this so called "credit crisis" from erupting, and you have a broken shattered mess that that our new commander and chief needs to deal with.
I say that what is going on here is not a complete 180 of what he originally promised. I say that what is happening here is he's trying to clean up the mess that this has all created, modifying and molding as he goes along to accomplish his purpose of getting the country back on its economic track. People are out raged because of 40 days of restructuring a plan to better fit the country's needs? 40 days of 1461 days he will be in office...common people...you wanna tar and feather someone...find the people who caused this mess in the first place and Let President Obama do his job.

Indeed, President Bush did a very poor job of managing the country. His biggest error was spending way too much money.
Now, let's consider this quote.
"You wanna tar and feather someone...find the people who caused this mess in the first place and Let President Obama do his job."
The people who caused this mess, are the REPUBLICANS and DEMOCRATS holding national office. Neither party has clean hands in this mess.
As to 0bama, he is repeating the worst of Bush's mistakes! Let him do his job? You must be kidding. If 0bama continues doing his job as he currently is doing it, a new car will cost over $100,000 and a gallon of gas will be 8$ sometime in under 10 years. Have you ever heard of the law of supply and demand? It applies to the amount of currency in circulation to determine its worth. Yes, 0bama is in the process of inflating the currency by creating too many dollars. Big time inflation like has never been experienced in the U.S.A. is on it way because of how 0bama is doing his job.

Palmerhusky,You have not understood what I have said nor do you understand the current financial crisis.
All Presidents going back to FDR have contributed mightly to the current problem. It is not a Bush problem or only an 0bama problem. It is a FDR, HST, Eisenhower, JFK, LBJ, RMN, FORD, CARTER, RR, GHB, WJBC, GWB, 0bama problem.
I seriously study economics as relates to markets. I'm not taking a guess or more importantly, reciting talking points that have managed to seep into the news media disguised as analysis.
Here's the problem. There is a trend of deficit spending by the federal government that continues unbroken by all the Presidents listed above.
0BAMA IS NOT DIFFERENT FROM BUSH. 0BAMA IS CONTINUING THE BUSH POLICY. The Bush policy was to over spend while mouthing justifying remarks designed to appeal to his voters. What is 0bama doing? Over spending while mouthing justifying remarks designed to appeal to his voters. See the similarity? See the problem?
All these Presidents have increased the deficit. The mathematical function best describing the graph of these deficits is exponitial. Each of the above Presidents is guilty of participating in a continuing policy of increasing the deficit.
The most common self justification for all this spending is, "I inherited this mess. It is not my fault!".
Any President who does not veto deficit budgets sent to his desk is part of the problem.

So...what? In order to do exactly what he needs to do in your opinion is have changed the problems that were caused over the last 8 years in less then three months? I'm familiar with supply and demand...are you familiar with how presidency works? in order for him to get the things he promised even on his plate he has to solve the problems that hes inherited from the last administration. Interesting how this works. Obama can put a bill for change of whatever kind and it can take a long time JUST for congress to SEE the bill. then not to mention how long it takes to actually reach their agenda, to talk about it, to vote it in or out and the list goes on. I find it foolish and irresponsible for people to sit there on their computers and cry fowl without having all the information first. "oh he said this now when he said this before" is a kindergarten frame of mind, does not constitute "having all the information, especially at this early juncture of his presidency. A person of intelligence and logic would takes in ALL the information, rather than what he wants to hear. It can take YEARS for a president to effect change, not 40 days or two months or some other infinitesimal amount of time as what we are seeing in this instance. I submit that you are impatient and want the change to happen immediately, and 100% exactly as he said. Sorry to tell you that's not likely to happen. sometimes the change that a president promises can take well after his administration ends, because of how the bill passing process is. A President cant just say "we are doing it this way and that's how its going to be." it has to go through the chain of command so to speak...and that can take a long time.

"I don't like the idea of spending more government money, nor am I interested in expanding government's role," Obama insisted.
Yeah just like he doesn't like Earmarks.
Actually it sounds to me like Obama has started taking Limbaugh's advice to stop speaking so negatively. It's just that Limbaugh is more sincere.

Just now he gave another talk about how "transparent" he's going to make lobbyists requests. Ha,ha we'll see how this goes.
I got plenty of tar and feathers stored up in my attic, don't worry.
I think he's trying to make it look like he's got everything under control now. What's truly sad is that so many people believe everything he says even though he has been caught in lie after lie...

Tar and feathers are not enough. For that ride out of town on a wooden rail, we need rails with lots of splinters.

well its true as there are crisis of fuels and oil so much then it is possible may be for even tar too, as tar is the left out substitue after making those required fuels though. its not only the question of tar but it is the question ofevery resource that we use and are important for us they all are getting extinct very faster..i fear what we will be left with few years from now. but i know there are some traces of oil found in somewhere near arabian sea, not sure though
this oil is sufficient to fulfil worlds fuel needs for another 100 yrs or so...not sure about the news..

Eventually, oil will run out hundreds of years from now, but feathers are a renewable resource.
