Kate and Matthew together again  |

 Have any of you seen the movie Fools Gold?
We watched it the other night on HBO and I thought it was really good. Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey proved that the chemistry they had together in "How to Lose a Guy in 10 days" wasn't just a fluke. It's there again.
Matthew's character in Fool's Gold allowed him to grow his curly hair a little longer. I have to tell you I think it looks quite good on him! And Kate is, as usual, just cute as she can be. I love the way her eyes sparkle when she laughs. She got that attribute from Mom, Goldie Hawn!
Just curious what everyone thought of the movie and Matt and Kate being together againl.

 carpenter5 (1872) | 9 months ago | Now, I did like them better in How to lose a guy in 10 days, but I didn't think Fools Gold was horrible. It was a totally different kind of movie. I loved all the scenic shots of the Carribean. The water they were swimming in was so incredibly blue!
I also thought the character that Malcolm Jamal Warner (Theo from the Cosby Show) was funny | |

2.  v4vikas (1439) | 8 months ago | An utterly mindless action comedy. No real substance, but it's no crime to cinema, as some reviews seem to feel. It's full of pretty. Just don't bring your brain to the cinema with you.
McConaughey and Hudson carry the whole thing. Their chemistry and skill make this a far more watchable movie than the script and direction might otherwise deliver. I've no complaints about them, but I'll avoid this director in future.
The script needed a heavy, critical edit. Unfortunately, it didn't get it.
here were a number of directional choices that I just didn't get. I'm not sure what the point of Gemma was, with the sword was deeply tacky - I got the feeling the director wanted to see how long he could point a camera directly at the crotch of a teenage girl without it becoming too explicit for the rating. The nominal bad guys were so ineffective and stereotypical it was painful, and the racial aspect was both blatant and offensive, and it was this that truly sunk the movie for me. All of the actors involved can do better than to be involved with things like this.

Especially one that has no use for hardly any movie. You can go onto IMDB and find a negative review about every movie that has come out in the last 10 years. Did you even watch the movie? | |

I loved him in The Wedding Planner, and of course there was Sahara and How to Lose a guy. When he smiles and those dimples come in to play, I'm just lost. My girls laugh at me. and the way I wiggle my eyebrows at the television when he's on there! | |
