How I really appreciate the movie "A Beautiful Mind". The movie is about the moving story of John Forbes Nash, a gifted mathematician who experienced hallucinations because of pschizophrenia. John Nash is an introvert person who is not very much fond of social life. His wife Alicia used to be his student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The romance between John and Alicia developed when one day Alicia summoned John to discuss a problem in Calculus. They fell in love and eventually got married. Alicia proved to be a very supportive wife to John even during the times John experienced condition known as pschizophrenia. John experienced hallucinations. In his hallucinations, he was hired by pentagon to crack a complex encrypton of an enemy telecommunications and look for patterns in magazines to thwart a Soviet plot. Bacause of this, he was chased by Russians agents. Alicia sought psychiatric help for her husband. The couple tried to live normal life inspite of this. Later in the story. John Nash was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in economics for his "Game Theory". The movie is done excellently. It won the Academy Awards for Best Picture. The lead performers Russel Crowe who played the role of John Nash and Jennifer Connely who played the role Alicia portrayed their role very well. Their performance is very realistic. The role they play is very much suitable for them. There are many great lessons from this movie. It demonstrates that a husband and wife relationship should remain intact even though the situation get worse as in the case of John Nash and his wife. Marriage is to be kept for better or for worse. No ailment should hinder a person from achieving as in the case of John Nash, who inspite of being pschizophrenic still managed to get a prestigious award in Economics. What can you say about the lead character in the movie "Beautiful Mind"?

I thought that was an excellent movie. The fact that he had Schizophrenia and was able to do all that he did is just wonderful. I wonder how he wold have done in today's world though. Would he have been as successful had he been on medication, or would it have stifled his creativity?
