Do you perform a search every time when you want to post a new discussion ?

I am sorry to say that I never perform a search every time when I intend to post a new discussion in order to avoid similarity. So sometimes when I finished my posting, I found there were some similar topics listed below mine. To be frank, I'm not doing that on purpose. I will try to post different topics later. Do you often perform a search when you want to post a new discussion?

If I am posting about a news story I will check to see if it has already been posted, but if it's something about my life, I won't. I'm sure other people have many of the same life experiences, but it's still not a duplicate post.

It depends on what I'm posting a discussion about. If it's something political I definitely will do a search first because those folks will eat you alive if you step on their discussions! There are other times that I check fisrt, too, but with some of the more pesonal discussions that have to do with something going on in my life, no I don't check first.
